So, should gays be allowed to get married? Is it morally wrong to deny them the right or is it morally wrong to go against the institution of marriage? I can see religion being dragged into this one....
It is not harming anyone + it probably makes those participating in the event happy, so why not?
The only arguments I have really seen against it are "I don't like it, its icky!", many using religion as an excuse to say the same thing without getting called on bigatory.
I'm a libertarian, which basicly means, if it isn't hurting someone else, whatever, your choice. I have no problem with gay marriage if they can find a church that will marry them, does no harm to me.
I agree. Also, why do people let god or the bible play any role in the legislation? What happened to seperation of church and state?
I keep hearing how the bible states that marriage should be between a man and a woman. Please, can someone actually show me this elusive bible verse? (I'm to lazy to look it up).
No, but I have before. It simply is disgusting, and so morally wrong. And I have had a terrible experience with gay people.
So in other words "I don't like it because it is iky!". Lets say I think crocks are icky, does that mean I want to make a law against them?

Not as far as I know, but it does state to stone gay people....

Perfect example of a source of ridiculous prejudice(well, all prejudice is ridiculous). I think the reason people are so repulsed by gays is because they are so different. With some people it seems that repulsion is a knee-jerk reaction to anything different.

I imagine not many will do that, and I think they have the right to do what. What they don't have the right to do is stop the state from marrying them.
I once had this boyfriend and he turned out to be gay, is that your answer to my bad experience? and I have read the bible and it states many times that gay people are wrong.
