I didn't think this was a big problem, as my local news paper showed it. But apparently other news papers were not showing it. I mean come on! Are we seriously that afraid that we are not even going to kind of sort of suggest that Muhammad is in the picture?

The point is this time they didn't even put a picture of him, just a general scene hinting that he might be there.

Well, it can be considered offensive. Even though I do believe in freedom of speech, you still have to be careful not to be too offensive when you come out with a newspaper. A newspaper should not join in on the whole "Draw Muhammad" protest. Of course, I think a newspaper should be able to if they really wanted to, buuut I think it would be a bad move.

There was this Swedish artist who drew Muhammad with the body of a dog or something, was a lot about it in the news here in Sweden, apparently he got plenty of threats from angry Muslims both in Sweden and outside.

If this seems completely insane to you, then compare it to how some people react when someone burns their nation's flag, or when someone wears a shirt of someone else's favorite soccer team's rivals. When you make fun of a symbol, then they consider it an insult to what the symbol represents as well.

Sorry for the double post, but I just got the joke. You can't find him anywhere 'cus you're not allowed to draw him. Hilarious, can't believe I didn't get it earlier.

(I wouldn't have to double-post if there was an Edit option >:[ )

This is almost as awesome as Draw Muhammad day (I did some cool doodles of him dual-wielding sawn-off shotguns (Not for any other reason than it looked COOL)) and stuck them around town.

Pure genius. Its crazy that some muslims would be offended. Any who are, are far too gone into their religion to consider others.

I would be offended if I was Muslim because this comic is related to Draw Muhammad Day. Newspapers should not be biased. If this comic was on someone's website and people were wanted the comic to be put down, then I would support the rights of whoever put the comic up.

Also, Muslims have every right to be offended about people drawing Muhammad. Don't forget that we aren't trying to make it so they aren't offended, we are merely doing it to tell them that we have a right to draw whatever we want and that we won't accept censorship as the answer to solve their offense.

Of course a side result of pointing out our freedoms by drawing Muhammad may be a general desensitization to it by Muslims.

I'm sure we can all agree that Draw Muhammad Day is a reply to Muslim extremists who threaten artists who draw Muhammad as well as a reply to those who give into the terrorist demands to take down those said drawings.

How should the Muslims reply to Draw Muhammad Day if they are offended?

I can draw whatever I want to. Not that I'd draw Muhammad but if I wanted to I will do so, just a question, isn't Muhammad who they worship? So why are they offended by a drawing of him?
There needs to be a genuine reason, not just 'we're against it'.

They are against people drawing him with a bomb for a turban...

They are offended that people are representing him in a negative way.

However, they DO have a right to be offended, everyone does. If they are offended, what is the appropriate thing for them to do other than "ignore it"? Obviously they can learn how to ignore the drawings, but if you were participating in Draw Muhammad Day, what could one do to persuade you to stop participating in it?

Nothing. If an Islamic extremist came up and stabbed me I'd draw Muhammad with my blood.
