I believe the third miner celebrated his 52nd birthday underground. What a birthday that must of been.

The fifth and youngest miner Jimmy Sanchez has finally escaped. Seeing as my ISP is utterly restrictive, my internet has been throttled to dial-up speed until Monday next week. D:

The feed is stuttering quite a bit. Last update I'll be making here.

Heh, I was checking out some of the live chat streams and I heard a few other people eagerly waiting for that miner.. A few said he shall be the 21st to ascend.

Would you rather be the first or the last one to get out??

My willingness would depend on a few factors.. State of health, longing to escape first, the necessity, etc.

Generally, I'd prefer to go earlier though. By the way, Claudio Yanez is the eighth miner to be rescued.

Considering that half of my family throughout history has done nothing besides Mine or Murder - I feel really quite close to this story. I must commend the speed and ingenuity which has gone into the rescue.

I would want to be the second to last, then tell the guys that lifted me up that I'm the last one.

I watched the first one come out yesterday then saw a couple at school today. Pretty crazy living that long underground.

Last guy is out. Once they pick up the rescue workers, this whole ordeal is over.

Which mining company was mineing there? I'm betting the mine gets closed.

Hmm.. I missed most of the rescuing. Oh well, I still heard about the news. I think it's fantastic that all these miners survived for so long underground without losing sanity. More power to them. This is a wakeup call for mining safety standards in Chile to be bumped up.
