These events with men being trapped in mines is now seeming to become all too common. If you remember, there was a mine accident in West Virginia early this year, and unlike the Chilean mine accident, their were no survivors. Something needs to be done about the mine safety standards, and they actually need to be enforced. If I remember correctly, the West Virginia mine had been cited with at least 100 infractions, and they didn't do a think about it, nor were the really punished for the infractions. Obviously, somethings got to change.
