okay, so I was sleeping in math class, dreaming about... kayaking or something. anyway, whatever the dream was, I punched the guy in front of me while I was sleeping, which woke me up. apparently I hit him kind of hard, too, 'coz he just glared at me for a sec' and rubbed his back...

anyway, it's not the first time. I've chucked things that were in my hands when I fell asleep across tables during dreams about baseball (including my friend's iPod... he wasn't very happy). really only happens at school, but still.

anyway, any strange things that you guys do involving sleep, before you go to sleep, in your sleep, or just funny sleep stories?

Apparently I tend to kick people who try to wake me up when I don't want to be woken up.

I used to fall off the bed and end up perpendicular to it.

That was quite some time ago.

Every time I wake up, my blankets are like, 5 feet from my bed. How does that happen????

Once I was at camp sleeping and when I woke up somebody told me I had been doing karate moves while I was asleep.

That happens to me sometimes. Oh and once I was wearing boxers when I went to sleep and the next morning... well you get the point.
I've heard I murmur in my sleep.

I love listening to what people say in their sleep, it's always fun.

Hmm, well sometimes I drool when I sleep. Usually it's when I fall asleep by accident like in school, which is probably a cruel trick by sleeping me on myself, for maximum embarrassment >.<
I don't really snore or anything else.
I've sleepwalked several times. It's never been anything drastic like leaving the house, usually just switching beds. Like once I fell asleep on my bed then woke up on the guest bed, several times I fell asleep on the couch and woke up on my bed, etc. It's a bit creepy sometimes. I never remember it. In particular, it happens when someone(grandma, I'm looking at you) wakes me up on the couch or something in the middle of the night to make me change beds or talk or something, and then in the morning I don't remember it at all, though apparently during this time I talk and stuff like a normal, awake person. Strange.

Nothing really strange for me.

I think that one time when I was sleeping, the cat started biting my toes. I involuntarily kicked her halfway across the room D:

I once woke up with water all over my head... i screamed at my sister for chucking water at me but i realised i went to the loo (sleep-peeing) and as I went to flush the toilet my head fell in the toilet bowl... I swirlyed myself... lol

@suckeggs lol...

Whenever i go to sleep, i NEED a blanket uless i'm very tired, even if it's blazing hot inside i just need something covering me.

Then i wake up my blanket is in all kinds of random places, one time it was in a ball propped up on my headboard, don't ask how, but it was. Most of the time it is by my feet or against the wall somewhere...

really weird, but to go to sleep i need to be covered and while sleeping i hate it, even when it's freezing i'll wake up shaking with goose bumps all over.

and btw i WUV cold sheets, i become SO much more relaxed and comfortable if my sheets are cold, call me crazy. It just... makes me feel cozy and tired, i think...

If you are dozing off in class, you are basically in Stage 2 sleep, where you may experience short, but powerful twitches that yank yourself out of sleep. This can be from a small jump to wake you up or in your case punching the guy in the back lol

Be glad your brain is too restrictive. In stage 4, which is REM dream sleep, your brain paralyzes your somatic system so that you don't move while you dream. There are reasons for this, though the reasons for the reasons are unknown. Adaptation maybe? I dunno.

Anywhoo, if you don't have this paralyzing mechanism, you can basically "act out your dreams". If you dreamed of kayaking, then you would have hit your neighbor maaany more times than just once lol

O.o That could've been problematic, I have these moments where I'll be laying there about five minutes before I finally realize I'm falling asleep and I'll have to snap my self out of it.

I just have reoccuring dreams. And when I wake up from nightmares I have to walk around my house to reassure myself that I'm not dreaming
