That's actually a nice animation, even if it's a bit fast.

My advice to you would be to get pivot 3.0 beta, I'm guessing you're using 2.something, and maybe you could learn a thing or two about easing.

Easing is when you start a movement by making small changes, then pick up the pace, to make it look less choppy.

As you might see, his head doesn't move at the same pace all the time. This way you can make it look less choppy without using more frames. A better description and example can be found in the guide.

Turned out pretty well, but as for Pivot 3 Beta when i try to open it it asks me which program to use to open it...

I'm guessing you got a .RAR file, and you haven't unpacked it yet?

If so, get WinRAR.

I have it on my desktop and when i click it it asks me what to open the file with!

What site did you download it on, i used www.filefront.com.

I have gotten WinRar but when i try to open the file with WINRAR nothing happens.....

The Pivot file from FileFront is a .exe file. Exe is short for "executable"... Meaning you can run it.


It's sort of hard to tell you how to open it when you don't say what file it is.

If it's a RAR, you need to unpack it with WinRAR
If it's a torrent, you need a downloading program which handles torrents, such as uTorrent or BitComet.
If it's an executable, you don't need anything but the file.

Looks interesting. The blue guy's fighting looks a bit odd though. Looks like he's just gently tapping the green guy (zombie?) on the head.

Oh, and the blue guy totally needs a bigger sword.

Yeah, i'm gonna start working on the episodes tommorow, cuz it's getting late and my animating skills are getting pretty choppy...

But, i will say goodnight with a short animation called :

Matt's darker in that animation.

Also, your animations would be a lot better if you bothered to ease everything, all the time, and you used the whole body to swing.

I made this animation before I read about easing, but I'm gonna post it again to show you what I mean with using the entire body to swing.

The ones I use in the animation I just showed you I drew myself, in MS Paint.

However, in the project I'm currently working on I'm using a bit better blood splatter, from a site called droidz.org. They've got a bunch of .STK pictures you can use, including vehicles and weapons.

And yeah, I'm sort of lazy too, but after you make one animation in which you actually try hard you'll notice how awesome your animations actually can be, and you'll realize that it's totally worth it.

Yeah, it's just that i'm as bad at easing as a goldfish painting a Mona Lisa....

I think i might stick to the fast-paced kind of animation like the Acrobatic video showed....

I kind of like that fast-paced style and ill use it in my episodes...once i get around to making them...
