you guys.. quit spamming!!!! 7 or more words. thats the rule. if not dont post. plus the title says explain which one is better, if your too dumb to read how can you post.
If in a game, it all has to do with who programmed the game and which they made better. In real life, the early versions of the M16 were unreliable and hated by its users. It will forever have a bad reputation for that.
Actually, the first m16s supplied to the SVA and military trainers were highly appraised on the battlefield; it was when they switched from the rod-type gunpowder to the grain-type (more abundant) that problems with jamming arose.
this convo is bogus.... they are both very different guns and also most games dnt even get the M16 right.... it has never only been a semi-automatic/ 3 burst shot.... it has always been an automatic assault rifle and has had the choice of shooting one bullet at a time..... also games dnt get the AK-47 correctly either..... the AK-47 uses the biggest bullets of any assault rifle it the world...... if shot even once above the waist, you would be bleeding out with a whole through your body...... also the AK-47 does not have the same magazine that it did in Vietnam, it now has a completely different mechanism, to compare these to guns would be completely unfair.
depends on what you like at, the m16 is more advanced and has a very high amount of atachments, also you can put it on semi fire or on burst if you like, but the ak-47 is way more reliable, you can throw it in the mud and it will still work and they are relitivaly cheap.
The M-16 is as much a strategic weapon as it is a tactical weapon: the lighter bullet causes more wounding than the AK-47: thus you take 2 or 3 out of the fight when you wound one (1 person can't walk and it takes 1 or 2 to move them), plus you overwhelm the ability of the medical departments to arrange proper care.
If you're going to be in a firefight where the ranges are less than 300 meters or if you just want something that can fire rounds no matter the conditions: AK.

wtf are you talking about. if your gonna post know what your talking about first. k
M 16 has been replaced by the m4 , which has its own counterparts to worry about. i would go for the Ak, one of the most reliable guns in the world. But once again, if i had the choice i would use the gun that was made to put the m 16 to shame.
In real life i would take the m16. the AK-47 is practicilly indestructible and has more stopping power than the m16 but horribley inaccurate and very abusive to fire. the m16 is likely to jam when its dirty but is the better gun for your buck.
@ dumbbutdeadly, the modern m16's used in iraq do not have the fully auto capability. the are almost always used semi-auto as well. And the AK-47 does use the biggest bullets of any assault rifle in the world. it uses the 7x6.2 the same that the g36 and a bunch of other guns use. and the scar heavy uses a .308 caliber which is bigger than the ak-47.
I prefer the m16 because in most shooters the ak47 has alot of recoil behind it so its hard to get long range kills,But with the M16 its no problem because there 3 round burst
