I've lately been curious about other peoples Internet connection speeds, and now I am curious of what the average speeds of the people on AG have. I am also interested of peoples ping.

So just take two simple tests at: http://speedtest.net/ and http://www.pingtest.net/

Just click "Begin Test" and it will choose a local host for you. When it's done just click "Copy Forum Link" and paste it here, then change the "IMG" from capital letters to lower case letters.

Here are my two most recent results:

I've been there pawning kid. You're an internet martyr. I remember when you had to go to the post office and pay the amount of time you plan to spend on the internet. After that paying was available through phone bill. Luckily ADSL came, it's a big difference between the two but it's still slow compared to the rest of the world.

used to do that. Now we pay like a lump sum, and instead of paying for minutes we just pay for the avalibility.

I bet you mine isn't great. I also think this method of copying images like this is questionable at best, which also leads me to believe that this probably won't work.

Home broadband.. Vodafone.

My internet download speed was originally sitting at 21 mbps or so.. It fell to 4 mbps for a few weeks but recently rose back to 17. Yay.

The current infrastructure limits internet to around 24 mbps here in New Zealand. Hopefully that will end when that fibre network is laid out.
