The Inheritance Cycle used to be a trilogy:Eragon,Eldest, and Empire. But that doesn't mean that the 4th is Empire. And i'd like to hear people's suggestions of the next dragon rider (please not this junk about Arya or Orik being it). By the way it's coming out July 2011-July 2012

Well, since the king has the dragon eggs and Murtag is pretty incompetent I would go with an unknown trained rider that the king has hidden away as a trump card.
WRONG! Christopher Paolini said that 1. the Dragon Rider is GOOD 2. It's a person we've heard about before in the books. 3. and It's obvious that the Varden succeed in getting the last egg.

You mean Nasuada? I guess she's a possibility. None of the characters really fit in with the Dragon Rider role. Not Roran, Nasuada, Elva, or Arya. Though the ones with the biggest chance in my opinion are: Nasuada and Elva. But this is getting pointless. Lets discuss the unfulfilled prophecy. Will Open The Vault of Souls: Either all the Eldunari or all the ancient names. Will wander Alagaesia forever: Brom wandered and so will Eragon. meaning he will lose his dragon. How? My theory is that Saphira will sacerfice herself to save Eragon. How? dunno.
It's obviously gonna happen. "wander" is the term they used for saying brom "wandered" without his dragon. I know you might say its a coincidence but still its the perfect ending.
Im more of the opinion that Eragon and Saphira are the only surviving riders and dragons by the end of the series and leave so as to let the races govern themselves. Also believe dwarfs will be incorporated into the rider spell so we can have a dwarf rider. (A cookie if you know what dwarf Im thinking of)
Oh it'll probably be something incredibly obvious like Roran and then everyone will be "Oh my god that was UNEXPECTED." I have severely lost faith in this series seeing as Paolini has created the biggest deus ex machina situation I have ever seen.
I'm thinking it'll be an elf. Not Arya though. Couldn't say who, I'm just guessing an elf.
As an elf the one who I think has the biggest chance is that guy whose name starts with a "V". He practiced sword fighting with Eragon. And he didnt think he was right for the role of Dragon Rider. Then later in the trilogy he told Eragon he was wrong. Does anyone know who I'm talking about?
