Do you think aliens are real? personally I do. While they might no be the little green men who say "take me to your leader", chances are that somewhere in the universe, there is other forms of life. There might even be life in our own galaxy! Considering just how massive galaxies are and how many galaxies are in the universe, chances are that Planet Earth is not the only planet that contains life. So give me your thoughts on extra-terrestrials!

So far we are on the look out for a Goldilocks Planet (Planet that is not too hot or not too cold, potential habitability for life.). The universe is very vast and we have already found a few possibilities. This is too vast a universe for there not to be a good chance of another intelligent lifeform out there.

Making complicated things stupid simple has gone from hobby, to artform, to career for me.

From a christian perspective, I doubt it. We are God's creation, and no other species on other planets are describe. Genesis states that earth was where it all started.

Ever wonder why such beliefs are often considered arrogant?

I do not think they could be as advanced as us and are mabye only little one celled creatures.

Why couldn't they be? There are many solar systems that are billions of years older then ours.

we were never "one-celled creatures". Those would be single-celled organisms such as bacteria, not having anything to do with mammals, reptiles, or amphibians.

According to common decent all of those have a common ancestor going back to single celled organisms. While modern bacteria might not, single celled life does have something to do with mammals, reptiles, and amphibians.

Personally, I think aliens are real. I mean, the universe is so big, there has to be some life out there right?

Didn't Nasa find aliens recently? It was bacteria or something, but the possibility of complex life out their is pretty high.

Alien do exist but in single cell organisms or plant form. Intelligent life is highly improbable. I'm not saying that were the only race but maybe in a few million years when the human race is extinct maybe they would exist. The time those microbe evolve to animals or who knows maybe they new race inhabiting the Earth would make first contact with an actual extra terrestrial.
The universe is constantly expanding it would be a wast if we were the only species.

Actually the bacteria they found is terrestrial, not alien; but they have the unique (up to date) property of being able to use the element arsenic. That discovery may change how we see possibility of life on other planets.
And I agree with deathopper, the probability of complex life is very low, but I'm sure there are lots of unicellulars out there.

Given the numbers we are working with he odds don't have to be very high.

There are billions of galaxies out there. Each has billions and billions of planets. There are millions and billions of solar systems and billions of stars [not billions and billions of].
And we aren't sure, but our larger than heaven itself universe is theoried to possibly be connected to multiverses.

If out of all that we are the only intelligent [read: not animals, but civilised and inventive people] life around, I'd cry at how god forgot to put the rest of his creations onto the other places and left them in his creation closet.

No offense to christians, of course.

As I said ther will be other life, maybe nota very advanced but it is life, isn't it? So aliens are a highly probable thing, if there is another intelligent species, then it won't have the same inventions as us, because of their environment and so on.

I would like to belive theres more then us out there. After the british realised that whole seret info on ufos/aliens it made me wonder and question a bit more. It would be fairly simple minded to belive we are the only ones out there

Just as a point of interest... watch this, cos this guy seems to truly believe they are real. And much much more.

Just so you know, I wont believe there are aliens in contact with us till I see em, but regardless of the alien stuff this guy talks quite alot of sense too.

At what point does this guy start making sense? I'm about 10 minutes in and so far this guy sounds like a crack pot to me.

If you ignore the alien speak and focus on how he talks about humanity's problems then I think he is bang on. The way he talks about the different alien races is kinda un-nerving, either cos he is crazy and truly crazy people make me nervous, or because he is right. Im kinda in the middle tho and the only thing that will shift me is to experience for real.
