Who likes the OLD Star Trek? NOT the garbage they're showing nowadays. I LOVE the old star treks. My father introduced me to them and now we are both serious trekies.
I think the old star trek and the new star treks are the same.. I hate them all! Star Trek doesnt entertain me and I think it is stupid. I know I am a hater, but so what?
Picard has it all over Kirk, rather he accepts baldness with a certain air that says "I am in command. You are safe with me. I will cradle you across any stars in any galaxy."
I like the original series. I have fond memories of watching with my dad. Though I wouldn't say all of the later stuff was bad, in fact I think Next Generation is my favorite of the series.
Shame on you people! I guess Family Guy isn't your favorite series either!
I'm sorry i dont know who Picard is.
Patrick Stewart, captain of The Enterprise on The Next Generation. In the 90s. He was also in a move called Star Trek Nemesis. Famous for such acts as hitting Will Wheaten and saying "SHUT UP WESLEY!"
Also Star Trek: Generations, Star Trek: First Contact, and Star Trek: Insurrection. Really I think Nemesis was the weakest out of the bunch with him.
THEY ACTUALLY TOOK CAPTAIN KIRK OUT OF THE NEW MOVIES!!! There has GOT to be a law against that!
They killed Kirk in Generations, and it wasn't even all that over the top either. Of course if you didn't like that death you can read the Shatnerverse books where everything revolves around how great Kirk is.
The Next Generation and Voyager were both better than TOS for many reasons, and shame on you for saying the original series is best when you don't even know who Picard is.
I love pretty much all of the Star Trek series. I've seen 'em all in their entirety and am a little embarrassed to admit I've read a number of the books as well, haha. Whereas TNG is probably my favorite of the franchise I really loved the original. I loved the super campy sets and visual effects, and loved the incredibly over acted dialogue.
The best part about the original were the stories. Because they had practically no money to produce with they basically put all their ideas into the plots and generally touched on pretty touchy subjects for that time. Anyway, for a series that only made it for three years before it was canceled, it sure inspired a huge, long lasting franchise and that's pretty freakin' boss if you ask me.

True, interesting fact the first interracial kiss on tv was in the original series. Been a while since I saw the episode but I think it was between Kirk and Uhura. Though to get it through they had to make it forced through alien influence.
i tried getting into star trek but i could never get into it i got way to bored watching it although the parodys i see of it on stuff like robot chicken and family guy amuse me xD
