What bands in the music industry do you dislike? Why do you dislike the band and please be specific because just saying "because they're awful" doesn't count. Assumeably, by your reaction to my post, Heavy Metal is not the one where the singer yells talentless shreaks into the mic. I apoligies for any misconseptions. I believe that the Sub-Genre I ment, was Death Metal. And of course there well always be an exception, I listened to the bands Alt mentioned on Youtube and they were pretty good. Anyway, I'm not a Metal hater, I enjoy Clasic Metal, Black Sabith, Metalica, etc.. I was merly commenting on Death-Metal.
Yeah, you got the genre completely wrong. Although some consider Death Metal a subgenre of Heavy Metal, I think they're really different.
But I still disagree with that post. Specially with the "talentless shreaks to the mic" part. Extreme metal singers are EXTREMELY talented (or at least good ones) if you take the time to listen to them. It's far from being untalented yelping at the mic.

Yay someone agrees with me i love the cure. I actually think pop is the least popular type of music. This wil sounds stupid but its a passing trend for most people and more people hate it than love it. Or at least on AG they hate it (me included).
O.k., now you've steped onto my turf. First of, Steven Tyler and Robert Plant's vocals sound nothing alike. Robert Plant's lyrics are more mysitical and fantsical, Steven Tyler's lyrics are more about love and stuff. And saying Led Zeppelin is not a good band, is the equalent of saying....Well, there isn't egualent, it just dosen't happen. Go on youtube and search Kashmir, Stairway to Heaven, The Immigrant Song, or anything Led Zeppelin. For Aerosmith search Ragdoll, Dream On, Crazy. As for "everything else" search Hotel California, Love Bites, Paraidise City, Purple Haze, Little Wing, Baba O'Riley, Heart-Shaped Box, Come as you Are, All Apologies, .......

LOL. Seriously, you say incredible bands like Led Zeppelin (I don't like aerosmith as much) are repetitive and have similar songs, yet you say you like the oh-so-original Eminem and drake? Seriously, get out.

You're doing it wrong. A lot of death metal is great - a good deal of the genre is fantastic. Those bands aren't the only exceptions. A lot of crappy death metal is actually either grindcore or deathcore, and even though a lot of death metal is kinda bad or it just takes some getting used to, it's still nowhere near just yelling talentless shrieks into the mic.

I wuv you Frank, but this is also a shameful lack of knowledge. Speed metal is the ancestor to your beloved power metal and has no relation to any of those - it's closer to power and thrash than anything - doom metal is completely different from the others, and is usually denoted by an air of despair and droning clean vocals or these days, down-tuned guitars and a really thick, almost shoegazey sound. in fact, early Black Sabbath is often regarded as the first doom metal. Doom and speed are completely different from each other and the rest of those on the list. Death and black are fairly similar but have distinct vocal styles and generally different song structures - the difference is less than from the others, but still noticeable. Like death, black metal has a ton of terribad bands trying to be kvlt, but there's still a lot of good in the genre and it's silly to generalize any one genre, let alone four that're quite different from each other.

I listen to metal but I can't really listen to screamo, I mean honestly. No matter how good a band they are it's still going to be white noise and a jumble of notes.

A lot of screamo never hits that line, but there is a good bit that does. The worst when it comes to white noise and note jumble is grindcore/metalcore/deathcore/mathcore/thrashcore/most of the -core genres, because they're generally created "FOR THE HARDCORE \\M/, MAN!" etc. etc.
I just cannot stand Green Day anymore. They got me hooked on American Idiot, but then i listened to the lyrics and saw some of the behind the scenes, and they were either high or wasted half the time and were always "F this, F that, Biatch!" I learned now they are total losers.
i HATE mainstream 'rappers' like Drake, Lil Wayne, ect. I much prefer Tupac, BTNH, Eminem (though hes kinda going down becuase of P!nk, Lil Wayne, Rihanna etc.) and other underground rappers. NO respect for Lil Wayne
but ANYWAYS i feel like slipknot, brokencyde, blood on the dance floor, and ICP are possibly the WORST thing to EVER come into the music industry. how the hell are these people even famous! they make GARBAGE music.

those guys are possibly the dumbest looking dudes ive ever seen. and people call them sexy? im sitting here like, are you kidding me? and they're horrible singers, there songs are just absolute jokes. the ONLY reason why i even remotley laugh at there songs is because they are SOOO bad that i cant even describe in words how histarical it is to think that people are hardcore fans of these people
