What bands in the music industry do you dislike? Why do you dislike the band and please be specific because just saying "because they're awful" doesn't count. It doesn't matter what genre they are, just if you explain why you dislike them. Now please just answer the question and and don't turn this into an extreme hate thread. THANKS! PS: If you want you can also post a song you dislike for that band aswell.
Oh, and how could I forget the ever-awesome My Bloody Valentine and the whole trip-hop scene that was developing around that time? Massive Attack and Portishead deserve to be mentioned whenever one talks about the British music scene of the 80s/90s, silly me.
Nightwish is cheese, but can be enjoyable on occasion. The rest of your list is, yes, awful metal music. Dimmu and Cradle are two of the poorest excuses for bands I've ever heard of.
I totally just googled "Metal bands" and copied the first five that showed up.
screamo sucks fat ones cause you cant understand anything they say and it has no rythym or anything it is just annoying noise that has a beat and a screaming guy that probably has emotional problems and feels he must yell about every type of death and pain there is just to make himself feel cool is that enough reason?
First of all, Slipknot has THREE drummers? What in all things holy do you need 3 drummers for. In my opinion, if you have more than 5 band members, you're overdoing it. Hell, Nirvana got by on just 3. I'm sorry, they didn't just "get by", they ROCKED. And Heavy Metal in general isn't any good. No, I like my lyrics to be fairly audioible Mr.Scream-in-the-Mic. And sure the guitarist can move his fingers real fast, but Never results in anything catchy or good; and don't even get me started on the drummer... *Bleh* And Heavy Metal isn't even the half, there are many more types of "music" I could trash, and I will, just not today....

All of this post is entirely wrong and you have no facts to prove your statements whatsoever. Heavy Metal bands' vocals are perfectly understandable and clean 90% of the time. The common concept of Heavy Metal uses mostly clean vocals, with only the very rare Death Growl, which almost only appear in other genres such as Death Metal, Hardcore, Metalcore etc. that AREN'T Heavy Metal.
Your information about the instruments is wrong as well, since there are tons of catchy guitar riffs, intros, outros, solos etc. in metal songs, but you're just too ignorant to actually go out and listen to a real metal song before failing miserably stereotyping it like that.
I really dislike pop in a general because its not really music there's no instruments and it just a computerized beat while a person sing about love in a stupid way (a good example is Your Love is My Drug) and other skankiness. And don't get me started on Justin Bieber. He just another shell that the media is using as a role model for kids, I bet he doesn't even right his own music and in a few years when whe wants to go solo to "express himself" with his "own music": Oopsies ! What do we have here ? Is that illegal drugs I see in your hands ? Already happend to loads of other so called "Celebs".
I dislike the new kind of pop music coming out, things like Ke$ha, Far East Movement, etc. I think pop was much better when the stars of it were Rihanna, Alicia Keys, and the Black Eyed Peas. But now the Black Eyed Peas have one of the biggest busts of the year with their new album, and Like A G6 was, and still is, one of the most popular songs in the country. The new decade marks the downfall of pop music, in my opinion.
I also dislike any metal that is "heavier" than Five Finger Death Punch, Slipknot, or In This Moment. Bands such as Amon Amarth, Hate Eternal, and Lamb Of God absolutely disgust me. I just don't see how a bunch of inaudible screaming and growling can be considered music. Now, 5FDP, Slipknot, and In This Moment scream in a lot of their songs, but we can at least understand what they are saying, so there is some kind message that can be gained from many of their songs, although the vocalists of all three of those bands are incredible singers, and they would be far better if they dropped the screaming.
On the contrary, I really like the new style of music that combines Alternative Rock and Hip-hop (Kid Cudi, N.E.R.D, and, to a lesser extent, Kanye West). I see a lot of hope for that genre, and I would have no problem whatsoever if it overtook modern hip-hop or pop as the dominant genre of music on the market in a few years.

How can you say you're a music lover when you're so close-minded about any genre of music?

Same with you.

And you.
Seriously, this kind of close-mindedness is silly and it really bugs me. You've obviously never explored the genres you're hating on, so how can you say they suck? How can you judge them? Stereotypes are all you have, and they're almost never true. So go and actually make an effort to explore the various genres of music before you talk vehemently about how much they suck.
For the extreme metal haters, you need to try to find out the extreme metal that gets widespread acclaim and give it a try - Tiamat, Cynic, Agalloch. They all have harsh vocals, but guess what? They're well-used. They add to the music. They're all musically-genius bands. Give a listen to the albums Wildhoney, traced in Air, and Marrow of the Spirit. And don't worry, lamb of God and Hate Eternal and Amon Amarth suck. A lot. If you've only tried bands like them, you're not getting an accurate representation of extreme metal music. Go for Agalloch, Cynic, and Tiamat first, and try the albums I mentioned. they're some of the best there are in the genre. And on screamo, I've never listened to as much of it, but I Would Set Myself on Fire for You and I Wrote Haikus About Cannibalism In Your Yearbook are my first recommendations.
What alt said is all true. The use of extreme vocals allows musicians to express themselves on a different way that simply couldn't be achieved by singing normally. There are many amazing bands that use death growls, but people are too blinded by stereotypes to actually even try and enjoy them.
Practically every metal hating person I have seen haven't even tried to go out listen to the music, reason all their proof and arguments are either wrong or non-existent. They just say their facts based on other people's stereotypes or were introduced to the genre with an extremely lame metal band, reason they were given the wrong first approach to the genre.
Assumeably, by your reaction to my post, Heavy Metal is not the one where the singer yells talentless shreaks into the mic. I apoligies for any misconseptions. I believe that the Sub-Genre I ment, was Death Metal. And of course there well always be an exception, I listened to the bands Alt mentioned on Youtube and they were pretty good. Anyway, I'm not a Metal hater, I enjoy Clasic Metal, Black Sabith, Metalica, etc.. I was merly commenting on Death-Metal.
Yeah bacobit, I would stay away from Death, doom, speed, and black metal (why are there so many variations of nearly-similar elements of metal?) and also not confuse this with heavy metal.
You should try listening to some Sabaton. Heavy Metal goodness straight from Europe. Sabaton's main influence is past wars, battles, and events, such as WWII, WWI, Vietnam, The Art of War, and Operation Overlord, with at least one song per album to praise past metal/rock legends. This is where they incorporate various lyrics from different songs from bands such as Metallica, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, and Queen, while creating their own musical variation based on those lyrics. Anyway, Sabaton is a great band to listen to that defines Heavy Metal.
I would steer clear away from their first album songs though. That's when they tried recording by themselves rofl
