The "Holiday Spirit" is upon us. This makes me pose the question, why? Why is it specifically this time of year that make us all happy and bubbly inside? Is it solely the spirit of giving that fuels it? Or is it something more?

Also would we have this happy feeling in our guts if the Lord Jesus Christ had not been born and the Catholic Church ad never been formed? That is the whole reason Christmas was celebrated in the first place, and seeing as the happy feeling is also called "Christmas Cheer" you can't brush it off and say something else creates the feeling.

I feel in the spirit of Christmas right now I'm very happy and can't wait to walk down stairs on Christmas morning with my little brother and open all our presents.

And Freak, if you are planning on buying something really nice for a female I would keep that in mind. Sara also purchases Ugg boots this way.

I will have to work on other aspects first, but I'll keep that in mind. I personally love the shoes that are so popular these days. The fur shoes with the fur balls tied to them? Probably really comfortable in there. If I buy them and she rejects them, then good for me!

Can't wear them in public though...

For some reason im not feeling the Christmas spirit yet im sure in a week or so

It's only the third...Let's see. I think it's the movies that turn me on. Preferably "How The Grinch Stole Christmas", "Elf", and "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer". Surely, after watching 2 of those in one day, your mind will open up to more spirit.

Sad to say though, age plays a part. You couldn't get me to shut up about Santa and Christmas when I was 4, particularly because I swear to Jebus Crispies I heard him say his magic phrase while I was asleep. It could have just been another guy who came to visit briefly. Anyway, when we get older, our minds get smarter, more rational, and so our imagination and magical spirit gets lost.

I think the Christmas cheer is mostly from the anticipation of getting stuff.
