Have you ever lost armor points ? We don't judge you if you spammed, troled or anything else, we just want to know the reason, so that doesn't happent to us. I lost 250 points for gaining 50 points in 10 minutes ((

Well the question you have to ask yourself, do you write one word game reviews? Are you guilty of spamming games to get points?

Well, i think i kinda did it, when i entered a page where almost every game wasn't good enough for me, but i only got like 30-40 points, and 2x250 is like Drakons punishments. ( Drakon, Greek archont and law writter, in 621. before Christ wrote a law, and it said : every crime should be punished with death, because the act of crime is an act of breaking the law, and law musn't be broken. (i read a lot ))

without any obvious reason, at least for me.

Hopefully now you feel we've shared those reasons. You still have lots of comments of "not bad" or "nice" and whatnot that may or may not get cleaned up. You also have a comment of ",,,," which is obviously not helpful at all because it doesn't even contain words, which needs to be cleaned up. Another game comments says "<>" ... again, not helpful at all, and needs to be deleted. You've got several game comments like "hhhhhhhhhhh" -- how is that helpful? I won't go on, because I don't want you to think I'm picking on you.

So it's not that the site hates you, it's just a clean-up effort based on our rules and guidelines for posting game comments. MANY users are being affected by this. Some users, honestly, aren't affected at all, because they've followed our posting guidelines and have written well thought out messages like this one posted for Corporation Inc: (copied as-is with spelling and grammar mistakes)

This game is well designed, with attention payed to music, graphics, player interaction, and humour. There are some problems however, such as supervisors moving up and down elevators in a continuous loop, or elevators moving to floors for no reason, and these need to be readdressed. Other than that, this is a sound game, and I hope to see more like it!

We're not implying that EVERY user needs to write an entire paragraph like that every time they want to leave a game comment, but if you leave a comment, ask yourself the same question Cenere does: if someone reading your comment could ask "Why?" to what you've written, then you need to write a little bit more because it's not thorough enough.

Thanks, i just didn't realised that you are looking 6 or more months old comments, i appologise, and i'll try to do it right from now on. Makes me think what wil happen to firetailmadnnes, he's got 55k of points, and if they are considered helpful, then he really is the most active person here

Just next time you go to write a comment, is it really worth spamming just to increase your armor points? More times than not I get to a game page and see a flock of spammy comments, with maybe a decent one in there. I greatly appreciate all the mods and admins cleaning up the reviews so that I can actually get an idea of the game while I wait for it to load.
Are you guilty of spamming games to get points?
Yeah, we do have some users who spam game comments with gibberish or nonsensical text or just write "coooooooollllll!!!11one!!" just to get points. Heck, I've even handed out warnings and temporary bans to users who posted messages that literally said "I'm just posting this to get points"

Unfortunately, though, some users like Kusic post one-word or two-word comments not MEANING to spam, but they are. And according to our rules, those "spammy" comments can be removed if they're not helpful comments.

Then there are people in between, who write comments like "kjkjkjkj", or "nnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn" or "extra" or "hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz" .. all from the same user by the way (who I won't name) -- those are cut-and-pasted directly from my admin screen --- who also write good comments like this:

Spells are weapons, so you change it at same plase as swords and bows. By the way, game is great !

or
Not bad but there is no block and turn off music

So yeah, those spammy comments are getting removed, and the good ones will be kept.

spoil the joy for some people, who just want to get as closer to top of the List as possible

Well, you don't have to rush it and spam for the top. Just stay active, and take the process bit by bit. Without spamming. And you might get there soon. There is time.
if someone reading your comment could ask "Why?" to what you've written, then you need to write a little bit more because it's not thorough enough.

And also sometimes, some users do make more than 7 words but their comments are useless, like it's not contributing to the game like. "I'm awesome! I think that I like pie very much!"

And it's not very hard to follow the rules. But most users aren't like that...If you're not comfortable with the rules, feel free to post suggestions here:

The staff might put it into consideration.

Exactly! A quick database search shows me that firetail_madness only has *28* one-word comments, so this is barely going to affect his points at all. Most of his 2,000+ game comments are long and helpful. The bulk of his "comments" are conversations on user profile pages.

Exactly right!

I erased a comment today saying "i am not a noob i am not a noob i am not a noob i am not a noob i am not a noob i am not a noob i am not a noob" -- obvious spam, but obviously more than 7 words.

I'm not from any English - speaking country, and i'm still in school, so perhaps i misunderstood some of the rulles, but i seriously didn't mean to spamm.
I have an idea, why don't you make some words not avaible for commenting, or 30 words minimum limit, something like that, a critiria that can at least make spamming harder

We're going to try to migrate as much of our content to the new web site, so we need to clean out almost 3 full years of comments. It's a big task, so go easy on the moderators who have a lot of work to do.

We can do this on AG3, but not on the current web site. We don't have time to do active development on THIS web site when the next version of the web site (AG3) will be launched in early 2011.
