I'm sure some of you know that they are being held in London (my home town) but what are your thoughts about, are you going to be there or do you not want them to be located here. Post your thoughts about it here.

Why would i wast my time going to the Olympic games THEY SUCK in comparison to the fifa world cup

Yeah, I would totally rather sit for 120+ miniutes hearing this. Only 1 goal if any but yea the Olympics are bad! FiFA is way more enjoyable!

America have held the Olympic games plenty of times and England have only held them twice.

Well, the cool thing about the Olympic Games is that you would be able to see a lot of countries you wouldn't have seen in the World Cup Finals, and you can watch a lot more sports.

Because watching a singular sport in which 90% of the game is dribbling is totally better than a multitude of sports in which many teams battle with sheer zeal. Yeah, I totally agree with you

maybe sometime in 2011 or 2012 would be a better time for this topic.

Well I know this was posted in early December, but its 2011, so according to your logic we can talk about this now.

I guess people think that they are spending too much money on it, but it will bring more attention to England and probably earn them more money as some people will fly over and the tickets and extras etc.

I really do wonder what the opening ceremony will be like in London. One more thing, How much does it cost to build a place for the Olympics?
