Eavesdropping on who exactly?

I don't venture into destroying people's privacy. I've never had good enough of a reason to do so. As in, an urgent life or death matter.

I do on the bus to school, it's a public one so there's some interesting conversations. It's only for entertainment.

I have to admit, there are times when I'm about to post on someone's profile and I happen to glance downwards to see someone else's reply. I then get too fixated to notice "this is someone else's conversation".

That's how I figured out Moonfairy's school Christmas events :P A Winter Band Concert? Not fair!

I eavesdrop all the time, not on purpose though. I just have good hearing on things far away. Like when someone is sneaking up behind me to scare me or when i hear someone on the phone all the way on the other side of my house and they say my name. Just natural habit.

There is a big difference between someone talking loudly and you just happen to overhear and sneaking up on someone to listen to them.
I overhear a lot of stuff people say, a lot of the time I just filter it out.

Hehe, I do this too. It's not my fault I can hear everyone talk. And it usually doesn't have anything to do with me so I don't really care with what they say.

Conversations here on AG aren't necessarily private. You are listening to someone without their knowledge, but in this public arena you should know that right?

The only time I tinhk it is ok, and often times hillarious, is they arrogant people who walk around supermarkets o nthere cell phones. God they drive me crazy, and they always have the most intresting conversations.

I do it, do it for a quick laugh, gain information(I found out who my friend liked by doing this) I also do it in case something major like police or FBI or CIA need for my intake on the scene. I also taught my other friend how to eavesdrop at a high school football game. I don't get caght either, thats the funny thing. never do, not once.

I don't really think it's wrong, unless the people you're eavesdropping on get really personal and talk about the stuff they did with other people at parties, but if it's like a normal conversation, then it's ok. I do it all the time during study hall, but that's because my study hall is in my science room, which isn't that big, so it's not like I have a choice when I'm not listening to music.

Yeah, it pretty rude to purposely listen in on someone's conversation, but if it happens on accident, or you are situation in such a way that you can't get away from hearing the other conversation (like on a bus or elevator) I would say it's not your fault and not so wrong.

It's not wrong. I don't tend to eavesdrop but it happens occasionally. I'm being a bit anti-social now. Also it's not that difficult to eavesdrop if the person is yelling to his/her friend.
