They only do if played excessively. Casual gaming of, lets say, ego shooters train your reaction. Some scientists said that gaming is good for the brain.
Agreed. Nothing is good for you in excess, however having to respond to six people shooting, will most likely help boost your reflexes and speed of thought.
sorry about my vocabulary and grammatics. english is my second language....but the other people understood my post
Oh then never mind I understood your post but thought you were to lazy to type it correctly. Didn't now it was your second language (it's mine too just didn't learn how to use coma's other than that I'm good). Could you just explain what an ego shooter is it like call of duty or is it a third person shooter?
in my oppinion, strategy games are very useful in the real life. i used to play them when i was younger and i think they helped me in some ways of life.
I hope you can read my english :>
And first-person-shooters are good for your reflexes and so on but the violence in some games aren,t so good by the way
I think it also depends on your age. Eight year olds shouldn't be inside for 5 hours after school playing games. They're not moving, not interacting with their imagination. That will and I think has caused serious problems in our society.
i think it also depends on the personality of the gamer. me for example i can play my favorite game for about 2 hours a day (not more!) and thats because i cant take it anymore but other players are addicted to there games i guess.
It makes your reflexes faster and makes your hand-eye coordination better I think. Other than that it's just a game made for the amusement of the gamer. Each game will make you better at things like strategy games make your thought speed faster. So it really depends some games will make you better at something will other something else and some games will make you better at nothing.
I totally will disprove this when I become a scientist. It think that shooters increase your reflexes(visual and physical) and your warfare knowledge. I dont know if they drain your brain but they help in some way.

And it also improves your lungs, because when you get killed by last enemy on a level and you shout F*******CCCCCCCCKKKKKK!!!! that improves your lungs =>
Equansa you should really lenghten your posts, they could be considered spam. This is not to offend you but it is for your own good, you could lose AG points. Anyway, I do not agree because CoD is one of my all-time favourite shooters and I believe that it increases reflexes although you shoot almost everyone on the screen. :P
