I would like to find out which Maidens of Music the AG'ers find most attractive. if someone thinks that this isn't fair (maybe a female AG'er...or someone of different interests than myself) then feel free to say who u think is the most attractive singer/musician u know of...

I'm curious to see if people listen to some bands just simply b/c they've fallen in love w/ the figure head (usually the lead singer) rather then their actual voice.

a few of the lovely ladies I listen to are

Simone Simons :3...epic red head (she's not a true red head.. but i don't care) (Epica lead singer...and is featured with other bands)

Tarja Turunnen (ex nightwish female vocalist)

Inga Scharf (Van Canto's female vocalist)

I fell for Simone when I saw what she looked like and after having watched some interviews where she acts goofy and seems really sweet.. I had listened to Epica prior to having seen what Simone looked like and was like "meh" but afterwards I found myself more like ..\\m/_...

Tarja is another very flashy tight body suit kinda gal (simone's inspiration :-P)... but I really liked her operatic metal stuff before having seen that she's quite the looker

Now Inga is slightly different... she seems to be less flashy then the other two. I had originally seen a picture of her on one of the cover pictures of a youtube vid and was like "meh... not so pretty"... then i listened to her and an interview or two and I now have her in the same epic tier as Simone and Tarja.

If you'd like to make this into somewhat of a social experiment and do as I did with my list then please do... but if you'd just like to tell us who u think are the most attractive singers out there (not just metal.... i just have a bias towards it...) then feel free

Personally, I prefer my old favorite, Hayley Williams. Probally you all know about her. I loved the band a few years ago, not only because of hayley, but well, it was a nice extra

But well, that was a few years ago, nowadays I'm more into folk metal, and I usually only listen to the bands, instead of search for them, Haven't been to much life festifals yet, but I will in 2011

Simone Simons is definitely my favourite :3 I heard of Epica because of it's music, and I like it, but she made me like it even more; by her voice and appearence. And I mainly tried the Sons of Seasons album because she was singing in three of their songs (plus she's on the cover); now I'm quite enjoying their other songs too, luckily..
I'm honestly not flashing for Tarja's appearence, but she has one of the most wonderful singing voice, and made me love some of Nightwish's songs.

@ Sonatavarius : To clarify for 'nichodemus' and 'Ghgt99' to you... they both like these female vocalists, but neither of them are in a band. Well... Beyonce was once part of 'Destiny's Child' if that counts, but 'Alizee' is French and hasn't performed with a band as far as I know of...

A close second, or perhaps a tie for the most beautiful woman in music, Amy Lee. For me, much of her appeal is her voice and her status as a pianist. I don't know what it is, but the piano is a sensuous and beautiful instrument and anyone who can play it well gets major brownie points with me xD

And we'll top off the list with my favorite video from my favorite front lady This is a phenomenal song, a wonderful video, and a great introduction to those who haven't heard Lacuna Coil. It's a bit more mellow than some of their other work, but it is a deep and melodic tune that I find both soothing and haunting.

Speaking of french gals, one I would add is Sylvie Vartan. In her youth she was beautiful and had a soft yet clear voice.
