Hey guys, I wanted to predict the NFL playoffs this year, so I'm gonna start my own thread and keep this going up until the Super Bowl. You are welcome to post your own picks here if you want, or just discuss the playoffs in general!
Wild Card Round (Jan 8-9): (I predict scores too, they're probably way off though. Just pay attention to my winner picks.)
I need them now. Mendenhall is a monster. The most underrated running back in the NFL. He's a plow. I actually feel like crying. Stupid refs. It should be 17-10. That call was BS.
Maverick, I really hope that they're extra soft Kleenex. I won't use any other type, because I'm really in a bad mood.
Oh, and they can be anything but the tissues at my school, because my school basically uses printer paper as tissues.
It was over when LT couldn't convert the 4th and 1 in my opinion. Obviously, they got 9 points there from the safety and then the TD, but if they got that touchdown, they probably could've gotten another and tied it up and maybe had a chance in overtime, but that didn't happen.
Sorry Pauler. Their Puffs Plus with Lotion. I have a sensitive nose...
That'll do
Not really. Pittsburgh did this year what everybody wanted the Colts and Patriots to do, and that was to BEAT THE JETS
*sadface
And... I know this would not follow the topic, but I'd like to talk about awards, that are being distributed before the Super Bowl. Here are my predictions: Offensive Rookie of the Year: Sam Bradford Defensive Rookie of the Year: Ndamukong Suh Rookie of the Year: Sam Bradford Offensive Player of the Year: Tom Brady (I was going to say Arian Foster, but I decided that having a 9.00 TD to INT rate is insane) Defensive Player of the Year: Clay Matthews Comeback Player of the Year: Michael Vick or Brian Urlacher Coach of the Year: I have to think about this one, but it's either Rex Ryan or Bill Belichick (just because you send a team to the super bowl doesn't earn you coach of the year. The reason why Rex is a candidate is because there were so many distractions that the Jets had to deal with, such as Hard Knocks and several controversies, and we still had an 11-5 season, getting to the AFC title game for the 2nd year in a row. Belichick is simply because he had a 14-2 record this season) MVP: Tom Brady
And to keep this post relevant: Packers over Steelers. I know that the Steelers have an elite defense, but the Packers offense is really good, with obviously Aaron Rodgers, and then two great receivers, Driver and Greg Jennings. Rodgers' accuracy and ability to read the backfield will be the key to winning. Also, Tramon Williams and Charles Woodson locks down the back field. And then there's Clay Matthews who's a monster. So there you go. Go Pack Go.
You may talk about anything relating to football really, awards are relevant. I'd agree with most of your awards, pauler94, except the coach of the year. I would say either Todd Haley, for getting his team to the playoffs by winning the division everyone expected SD to win, or Steve Spagnolo with the STL Rams, and what he accomplished after a (1-15) season.
Comeback Player of the Year: Michael Vick or Brian Urlacher
Michael Vick by far. Not many people can miss 4 seasons and come back to be one of the dominate quarterbacks in the league.
Coach of the Year
I'd say Belichick because hes phenomenal. He runs a very tight ship with his team and for that I salute them. I hate the Patriots with every fiber in my being but ill give them that. but you would also have to consider Rex Ryan. Now before y'all say: biased! ur a jet fan! just hear me out. Rex Ryan has turned the "same old Jets" into the winning same old jets. He has completely turned around the culture of this team and in both years coaching he made deep playoff runs both years.
@pauler94 i'd agree with the rest of your predictions Clay Matthews = Beast= Steroids? lol jk but seriously look how jacked he is. First thing that comes to my mind is steroids.
