The greatsword would still be covering the window.
And read my last post.
If anyone has the DMG, I'm giving them permission to read the section on traps. It might give them a clue as to how, other than Disable Trap, you can bypass the traps.
Hello, I have ALL 3.5 books, but I'm not a metagamer! btw, I heard I can't use my magic and the other forum needs a new DM? I will test my magic on the window right next to the back door on the left side, by hitting it with a lesser orb of fire.
Okay guys. As for the trap...I want you to think very carefully for a moment. Got your thinking caps on? Good. Listen, this is the alchemist's home. He lived here. The traps were set up, while he lived here. Therefore, every time he left the home and returned, he would have to deal with the traps that he had set up, correct? Now, would you really want to have to disable a potentially lethal trap every time you wanted to enter your own house?
As for Siber, he casts a lesser orb of fire on the window next to the back door on the left side...as it happens, that's the second window, the one with the fire trap. Siber's spell works, melting the glass, but most likely the trap is still effective. However, his spell works. Probably, the Disable Magic thing is triggered by some kind of magic, and since it doesn't last forever, it would need quite some time to recharge. So you can use magic, but at an unpredictable moment the Disable Magic may come back online and make your spells ineffective for a while, which could be very dangerous, and all the more dangerous because of how unpredictable it is.
