Well, okay. There are four levels in the house in all, and then there's the attic. To reach the attic from your current position, you'd have to go through all four levels of the house and reach the top, and even then you're not sure where the stairs are. Are you sure you want to try to do that before exploring so much as one room on the first floor?
It's always the last room of the house where the real nasties are hiding, but we might want to rest first. I mean, most of us our wounded, and I'm almost completely out of spells.
