Again they can punch him they just can't damage him easily. Basically the hit lands but no damage is dealt due to the armor being to hard and thick.
"I bet you can't."
"Ye get one chance. Hit me. Ye miss, ye owe me 100. Ye hit, I owe ye 100."
"Come on, just hit me!"
Can we just say he hits him in the gut with the sword.
