Over and over again, I have demonstrated a lack of commitment to all the RPGs I have made, and in fact that is the number 1 of cause of each one's downfall. I think anyone who has been around the Forum games before the original DnD thread (like Hyper, and Loco if he was still here) could attest to this.
That is true, and if that is an issue for you, appoint an assistant or Co-DM. I would be glad help you with any major questions you may have, just go to my email address on my profile and ask me, I'm on quite frequently.
Secondly, time and experience constraints. I know close to nothing in something as simple as running a 1v1 battle
Dragon has no prior or real life experience, but he manages to run his game just fine. If time is a factor, again, assistant or Co-DM. I bet TRF would be willing to help you, as soon as he gets home from his vacation.
I also have nowhere to save any of your sheets so I may reference them. You might pull up that huge d20srd on DMing tools to tryto help me, but how are you going to expect me to read through MULTIPLE walls of text? I simply can't, and if I did manage to somehow, I'd forget it all within a few hours.
Who said you need to read through everything? I happen to have a very good memory, and even I don't remember every single rule in the books. I look at the book, figure out what the important sections and rules are, and the rest I read just for the hell of it when I'm bored or something. I can write you a cheat sheet, and you can simply use that for reference until something comes up that requires you to look in the books, then you dont need to "read through
MULTIPLE walls of text". If you need the books, there is a little known torrent, totally free, which gives you all the main books, except for Complete Adventurer. Google it, it should be easy to find. I'd just email them to you, but last time got in trouble with yahoo for an "illegal attachment".
Lastly, personal consideration for you guys with all the above.
Well, Dragon and I agree we think you should try it. If you need Hyper's approval, she probably agrees too. The VERY LEAST you could do is try it, and
we AREN'T saying you should do it right now, so in the meantime, maybe we could discuss this at greater length, or email each other. If you want, I can start on that cheat sheet now, and I'd probably have something for you by the end of the day. (Yeah, like I have anything better to do, lol)
