[quote]Two, it's chalk art! The streets don't still have the art work on them! The chalk has washed away. So going there now it will look like a regular street. The streets would be hazardous (at least the last one) if the artwork was permanent (you can't see the street very well or the dividing lines etc.).
still, even if it washed away, the artest probably still lives there, doing his thing, so i think there might even be cooler ones there, but yes, it would be a hazard if it was permanent, but there ought to be more from that guy that's more recent wouldn't you say? supposing that he/she is still living there, and still does that kind of stuff.
If you stand at the exact place the pic was taken, you'd have the wished for effect. Of course walking on it would ruin the perspective. Still, would be cool.

True, I wonder how long it takes them.
I've done stuff like this before, The artist decides ahead of time what they'll draw and does the math for the proper perspective before they go out and start drawing. Most major cities have some kind of contest or art appreciation week where chalk drawings like this can be found. It takes less than a day for smaller ones. So much work and then it's washed away! But it's fun.
As for the one in the street, I bet there were multiple artist that worked on that. the weather or people would destroy it before one person could finish it.

Interesting. Too bad I don't have any more optical illusions to post. I still think the
