I will answer some question in this post, one is why do I believe in Jesus well because I believe is because when I ask him into my heart I will be in heaven one day. Next is aren't you afraid of being some what pursacuted (I spelled pursacuted wrong twice) over the internet and the answer is no why is because what they say doesn't matter only God's opinion matters because he created us and loves all even though some of you don't believe in him . To end this well I guess I should proof read my stuff before posting it.
ok first off... i dont think you can just cancel the 6s out of numbers? ive never done that (im also heavily dependent on calculators.. so i could be wrong :P) but 4/1=4.. every time... because if you try to put 1 into 4.. you can do it 4 times
No - it was mocking driejen's example. <commutative-skeptical mode>He only gave an example where the commutative property happens to work - not a real proof.</mode>
I'd like to know what exactly distinguishes postulate from theory.
From wiki
In traditional logic, an axiom or postulate is a proposition that is not proved or demonstrated but considered to be either self-evident, or subject to necessary decision. Therefore, its truth is taken for granted, and serves as a starting point for deducing and inferring other (theory dependent) truths.
A scientific theory comprises a collection of concepts, including abstractions of observable phenomena expressed as quantifiable properties, together with rules (called scientific laws) that express relationships between observations of such concepts. A scientific theory is constructed to conform to available empirical data about such observations, and is put forth as a principle or body of principles for explaining a class of phenomena.
Seeing this likely got lost check out my questions on page 3 tiger.
Okay, Samy, you don't grasp what scientific theory means.
It doesn't explain EVERY aspect, it is just a simplified explanation of a phenomon.
Perhaps you don't grasp the concept of reading all of my posts or not jumping to conclusion, I'm unsure of which one.
My point, which I've repeated over again, is that we cannot explicitly prove our current model of evolution; we can support it with hundreds of sources and laws but the absolute proof is not there. I remain in a state of slight agnosticism about all theories because I'm not a professional in the field they are involved with and therefore cannot make a definitive decision on my own.

To what extent? We have observed instances of evolution. In fact we have more proof or it then we have for gravity.
Ah leave him alone, you believing that evidence is not completely and absolutely infallible is perfectly reasonable in my book. He can assume that it is true given the volume of evidence, just not that it will always be absolutely true and cannot ever be proven wrong. This I believe is a good basis for skeptism.
To continue the discussion from the duplicate thread "Ask THIS Jesus freak! (Science FTW)"
How can you explain Type 1 diabetes being healed after sincere praying?
Type 1 has been known to go into remission on it's own. It's possible you were misdiagnoses as type 1 and 2 are often confused for other rarer forms. Also get this, my mom had a form of diabetes from her pancreas was comparable to an infants. However she also had multiple personalities. One personality did not have diabetes.
Atheism in itself is a religion. The god of an Athiest is his or her self. They want you benefit themselves. Just throwing that out there.
And you'd be completely wrong. We don't worship ourselves. There are religions that are atheistic since they don't involve a deity.
To be a witness to the wonderful Atheists out there. (Not sarcastic, I love you guys) I want to see you come to God.
@jaza *facepalm* Did you not see the (Science FTW)? I have this thread because I saw somone else who was answering on blind faith, and the Athiests were beating the crap out of him with science.
Yeah unlike your responses that are based on...personal experience.
The misunderstanding is that Christians live to benefit GOD and other people. Atheists love to benefit themselves.
Who doesn't from time to time? I also have been well known for going out of my way to benefit others at my expense.
I do know what Athiests believe, I have been great friends with some Athiests and have studied it.
