An example, I live near Chicago (you don't have to actually live in the city, but as long as you're close) and we're famous for our pizza; deep-dish especially.

valthermond is known for the great moorfires of 1917, and the dolmens. and for being the longest village of the netherlands. (in proportion.) 9 kilometers long, 200 meters wide.

I live near L.A and it's famous for violence, Hollywood(obviously!), movie stars(of course there are movie stars in Hollywood!), travel, and near L.A are famous famous beaches and beach cities like Malibu, Venice, and Longbeach... Yay! However, the area I am in is really safe.
