recently i dug out the old PS2 and all my games, the first i went to play was GOW1, than after 3 hours of slashing at **** i decided to play my fave PS2 game of all time. all i could remember was the fun i had killing those giant *** monsters and watching yourself navigate through the world and even on those giant monsters. sure the graphics are dated, the gameplay is slow at times, there are glitches galore, but its such i could game i couldnt help but love it. i cant wait for the HD version on PS3!
OMMMMGGGG you dont even know how excited i am for the re release of that game. im SOOO pumped. is there an official date yet does anyone know? im to lazy to look up anything right now
I absolutely hate the "feel" of the controls. I fought the first boss, then handed my friend the controller and watched him play. He got to the final boss and kept dying. I would love to see someone beat the final boss and watch the ending. I suppose there is youtube but, meh.
There was one aspect of Shadow of the Colossus that was pretty fun (and mind-blowing), and that was fighting colossi. Other than that, there wasn't really anything else to do. There were no "mini colossi" to encounter, no building the character to a certain extent, nothing to power you character with, just what the game initially give you. Nemo's right on the part about the controls. The controls are not independent of the environment the dude is interacting with, so what you are expecting the character to perform comes a little short the majority of the time.
Other than that, the game was really original, which I like about good games. I just wish there was more to the game than just the colossi.
Oh yeah, if there are more game like this, MAKE THE COLOSSI EASIER TO FIND!
