Minecraft is cool because you can just make anything you want, and can always be doing new things. The only I don't like is in the Xbox 360 version, you make animals follow you, or have them breed (lame).
Hey all. I have a question about Minecraft - how does someone go about buying it?
Now I understand that you need an account first then you can just purchase it but what stops someone from just downloading it and playing the game after account creation for free? I haven't tried it myself and so that's what's brought me to here.
This all came about when ohmslaw on page 198 of this thread said he got the game for free by just downloading and launching the game. To be quite honest I've heard of all the rumours and whatnot about getting Minecraft for free but I just don't think like the idea. I personally would like to pay for it to support the graet team that is Mojang and keep the world of Minecraft alive

You just make the account and buy the game on that account, minecraft company puts that username as a username that bought the game so when you login using that username and correct password on the minecraft launcher, you will be able to play.

Minecraft is great I love playing it on my PC, it's really fun. Now since it came out for xbox 360, I can play it on my xbox. It's really fun and cool.
I need diamonds, anybody have any tips on finding ore?
Press F3, then dig down until the Y-Coordinate reaches 12. After that, just dig around.
Another way is to just find a cave and go down as deep as possible until you find lava because for me, diamonds are usually found near lava. Better than finding a cave is a chasm because those practically lead straight down to Y-12.
Yeah minecraft is great! I recommend people who like mc to watch the Yogscast's Minecraft videos. Though any of you know how to get Minecraft for free? I just played the demo of it and got my friend to get mc on this comp for me though I can never play multiplayer.
Zenzational, you yave to have a premium acccount to play multiplayer, if not, than you can only play offline. the only way to play multiplayer is to illegally torrent the game(not recommended, unless you want to get in trouble) or to buy the game on minecraft.net
