One of the easy ways to find is : Kill some Blaze in the Nether, obtain the Blaze Rod, kill Enderman in the OverWorld, obtain their Ender Pearls, now, combine the 2 to make a Ender -? something i forgot, then you use them to find a StrongHold, your gonna need ALOT of the -?

And you haven't thanked me for showing his stuff to you D: Not to mention the texture pack, What my idea of a fort is, to make a house on water, there are bridges leading to land, i got myself a bucket of lava, so i might add Lava to make it a bit more 'defensive' from Creepers that follow me back home, i've got the whole place torched up, but that doesn't stop them from spawning in a nearby swamp biome and following me back. Also, NEVER TURN YOUR SPEAKERS OFF AND PLAY MINECRAFT, trust me, seriously.

Most of his stuff is pretty simple redstone engineering, it's just extremely creative.
