If congress actually represented the people and the people wanted it it would happen a lot.
Well, since that will never happen, then I say we remove the government since it is totally worthless and has never benefited anyone ever before.
1. So why do we elect power-hungry people who will probably do more harm then good? Congress has benefited us a little, but not very much lately.
2. We need to rebuild the government. It worked really well back in the day, but lately it has become corrupt. The whole system is broken. Judicial branch has become a position of power instead of integrity. Executive branch has also become a position of power, instead of the voice of the people. And Congress? They need to represent the people instead of hold a position of power. It's all about power, power, power.
*randomly jumps into topic even though we have several Obama topics*
I was watching E! News yesterday. Let me back up... I walked in and Sara was watching E! News. Anyway, this little blip about Prince William's wedding. E! News was so excited because they had a copy of the invitation. Then, they proceed to give a rundown of the people invited. It goes as follows:
1900 invites sent out Some of them were friends and family (excluding the Duchess of York) Another portion of the invitations went out to almost ALL of the world leaders. Except...wait for it.
I think that Barack Obama is a pretty good President. I mean he sorted out the oil spill and helped stop some racism as he is the first black president of America.
My opinion: the guy is a bad president. My backup: he's a Keynesian.
George Walker Bush is a Keynesian too [a more conservative one though] do you consider him a bad president likewise? /No pun about Obama being a Kenyan Keynesian.
They gave a Nobel Peace Prize to Obama for his good intentions, that's just frivolous and unsavoury. It's really unbelievable; they gave him 1.4 $ for having -allegedly- good intentions! Like all the other persons in the world have bad intentions.

Can I have a Nobel Peace Prize? I want to be president, and that's a perfectly good reason for a Nobel prize.

That is BS. We still can't talk about immegrants (first few presidents), cripples (Franklin Delano Rosevelt) or retards (Bush) because it would be discrimination. Blacks and mixed people will still always be seen in the same light, no matter how many presidents they get.
I think Obama is a pathetic leader. Bush may not have done much good, but atleast he did something. Obama gave companies billions of taxpayer dollars after they wasted all of theirs and proposed we give them trillions (1,000,000,000,000) more! Granted, he did help with the oil spill, but he was far too soft. If obama's and Bush's presidencies were switched, we would think much better of each of them. Obama tries to take care of the people, which would help in Katrina more than Bush, and Bush takes care of the problem, which would help more now. Obama says he fixed the economy. Yesterday, Feb. 22, 2011, the DOW dropped 180 points and the NYSE and NASDAQ fell the same amount. At the time I write this, the DOW is down 90 and the others aren't quite as low. Almost 300 points down in 2 days is not a rising economy.
For the last time, he can't do anything until Congress makes laws. He has all the time in the world, so stop saying that he should focus on more important things like fixing this nation. A republic isn't where the nations elects a leader and then he alone makes a bunch of laws.

Hmm... If I'm correct, he has less than two years. You must realize that it only takes a month or two to plunge us, but generations to fix us.
... forced the debt ceiling to be raised?
Interesting how they didn't show pres. Obama on there. He's a democrat. Since he took office, unemployment rate has risen to about 10%, the stock market is continuing to fall, and national debt has risen even more than what Bush cost us. Do you know that Obama's vacations are more than the average household income level?
Well, not all the time in the world, but a lot of time since Congress takes forever to pass laws.
I'm confused. How does this make it any easier? Or faster? He still has two years (possibly four more), no matter how long it takes for congress to pass any law. And wouldn't that make it worse?

You do realize that what happened during bush's presidency came very close to causing a major depression, right? Do you have any idea how hard it is to come back from that?
