a fine day to die Bathory [black/viking] Sweden Blood Fire Death (1988)
The elder among the men looked deep into the fire and spoke loud with pride tomorrow is a fine day to die
Now the morning advance from far east now the sun breaks through dustclouds and haze now a forest of spears appears on the hill and steel shines bright in the suns first rays Die die die die
jewel throne Celtic Frost [thrash/death/black] Switzerland To Mega Therion (1985)
Once prayed to my gods, searching for the whistled memories Empty eyes are staring now, to my feet a land of sorrow I'm the king, sitting in the dark hiding from the shadows of the wind Wafts of might, wine of fire, I was called to taste
evil warrior Possessed [death/thrash] United States Seven Churches (1985)
You think you're so secure Protected from above Gaze into the hell fire I know you'll fall in love They'll hunt you down at night Your flesh is what they want Your eyes will scream for sight When evil comes to haunt
Cursed by nightmares When you sleep They'll cut your throat And blood will seep
Death, a truly underrated band (for the most part) not to mention that u have a good chance of being hated on for likeing them.
Excalion - Arriving As The Dark this song came up on my Pandora radio station a while back. it is a truly outrageous song. was great harmonies, the drums are more of a backing beat used to push the song as apposed to drive the song. the solo will destroy your face forever. thats just what i think at least =)
You guys may have heard of Killswitch Engage. I recently started listening to them because some of their songs showed up on my Trivium Pandora Station, and I downloaded one of their albums, and I love them now. They're very melodic, moreso than In Flames, and their vocals sound great whether they're clean or screaming. I recommend them to anyone who likes metal.
All the marks erased long ago Scars are healed up Cancer creeps into their innocent souls Memorials of flesh and blood Have survived unlawfully punished Poisoned till the end of their lives Physical deformity What medicine will help? Still births will rise
Agent Orange Agent Orange Agent Orange A fire that doesn't burn
Kreator [thrash] Germany Coma of Souls (1990)
masters of war merchants of false peace bleeding the lives of the lost feeding the terminal disease breaking the rules
no matter who gets hurt wholesaling useless trash charging twice what it's worth
freedom of thought a mirage the coma is endless and deep feeling so wordly and wise fooled by the friends that we keep
spirits on ice they'll never be free
one dimensional lives will the coma of souls outlife eternity

Not really underrated, was an influential band (one of the first true Death metal bands) and Chuck Schuldiner is like the father of Death Metall (R.I.P.)
Why does somebody gonna hate you cause u like Death? o.O
If you guys like Blind Guardian, try Darkwater. Listen to Where Stories End, great album. Also, if you want to try something different, listen to Alestorm. One of the more unheard of genres (Pirate Metal), they're actually quite good.
beat the *******s The Exploited [crossover] Unit Kingdom Beat The *******s (1996)
Just out of school dont have a clue No income support for you Cant get a job dont get a chance Sick of politics leaving you out
Beat the *******s, beat them now Beat the *******s, beat them now Beat the *******s, beat them now
institutionalized Suicidal Tendencies [crossover] United States Suicidal Tendencies (1983)
I'm not crazy - institutionalized You're the one that's crazy - institutionalized You're driving me crazy - institutionalized They stuck me in an institution, said it was the only solution To give me the needed professional help to protect me from the enemy, myself.

I think Annotations of an Autopsy was deathcore but not sure about their last stuff (maybe death) and Alestorm is folk/power
Good bands: Iron maiden turisas-folk metal battle metal, land of hope and glories, to holmgard and beyond... haggard-strange kind of music the final victory, per aspera and astra rammstein ich will (watch also the pooh version)
exhorder Exhorder [thrash] United States Slaughter in the Vatican (1990)
Crawl on your knees, asking "why did you leave?" As I introduce you to the new piece Cheated in ways beyond bad taste Your soul was but a toy in my tease Breaking young hearts across the land As I wake up in a different place You do it for me, it's easy to see Your pitied, lonely looks in my face
the faded line Lamb of God [groove/metalcore] United States Ashes of the Wake (2004)
Hopeless...demon of another day Colorless...stoned, solid grey Emptiness...of promises I made So faithless...the tenants long betrayed Walk the faded line, cursed crawl of time
Megadeth: everything on their rust in peace album except my creation. here is the song tornado of souls from the album. I love this song, but whether you like it or not is up to you.
