invisible hate Witchfinder General [doom/nwobhm] United Kingdom Death Penalty (1982)
Once I saw an eye in the sky And love would look my way Peace would fill my mind And I'd be happiest that way
Then one day along came this hate on down inside Since that day I've felt so bad inside. Inside...
Economy it fills my mind I don't know where to turn The laws, the rights, the outta sights You know they all should burn People saying don't tell me That's none of my concern One day close, so very soon You know they'll learn
dying inside Saint Vitus [doom] United States Born Too Late (1986)
I have got to change my ways 'Cause I'm losing my mind I have got to stop drinking 'Cause I'm dying inside I feel twice as old as I am And it's getting worse I'm in the palm of habit's hand I can't escape the curse
There is nothing that I can do I have no self control I have let myself become dead I have ruined my soul Every time I wake up sick I say never again But then opportunity knocks And I'm wasted my friend
Has anyone listened to the bands Vanden Plas and/or Seventh Wonder?
I'll try and shift the discussion from my thread to here. Vanden seems to have a lot of religious songs... but they're not all that bad... its not the typical religious stuff that even I can't stand.
Seventh Wonder has a ZOMGAWD singer and pull off a great sound instrumentally as well. Their song Angelmaker makes me has a sad when I listen to it now that I know its about a nun choosing which of the kids in the orphanage lives or dies.... >____>... but its still amazing to listen to... even tho its sads
Sontatavarius! I'll instead send my reply to your newly-found band here instead of in your thread.
Okay bud, you got me hooked on The Seventh Wonder. And it didn't take much either! The Great Escape, a whopping 30 minutes long, paints such great imagery! I cringed at the long run time of the song, but it really doesn't matter, as there are different movements in the song that keep it going. The best part is, it all moves through one giant story!
A genuine story in a song? That takes so much planning. I am very impressed in this band!
Dreaming - dreaming in the cold night I wish I were a big and famous star Then I'm the king of a thousand queens With golden rings and dirty jeans Pots of money and I'm feeling free
Move your legs- Stamp your feet Hear my voice you're gonna rock with me
Every night in the city lights See the murder in the streets Homicide is the latest craze You can do it on the screen Senseless killings in a brutal wave Another mindless crime Violence is their point of view In a twisted state of mind
It doesn't really matter to the kid any more No it doesn't really matter at all It doesn't really matter to the kid any more No it doesn't, doesn't, doesn't
