I decided I'd try and post some of my poems on here, since I liked the first line poem thread so much. I would really like some advice on how to improve. Thanks!

AP EXAM IS OVERRRRRRRR. I'll be updating more regularly now.

Here's jeol. I tried to draw the version he described to me, but I sort of suck at drawing animals, so it looks sort of demented. :P
I drew my own version.

Erm, I don't thin your thread should be called "Tacky's Repository Of Written Words" anymore, for obvious reasons.

The problem is, I can't think of a better name.

You should rename it, still.

This poem will have no title, due to xzeno's request. And I haven't done haikus in a while, so you know what? These are going to be haikus.

We looked at the stars
But the sky was so empty
Nothingness for miles.

To breathe was to drown
As the air flooded our lungs
Swimming through starlight

My legs and arms strained
Moving the spinning pedals.
We inched to the peak.

I could see the world
Could finally see the stars.
I could breathe my breath.

I almost put this as my last stanza:

We blazed a fire there
Biking, burning euro notes
Is so ******* fun.

If I can count, I see 7 stars. Ah, I see what you're trying to say. Man, this one really spoke to me. You see,I'm a sponsored mountain biker so some days I will find myself miles from any sort of civilization. This easily describes what I do, and the imagery just puts me even more into the situation. Good job on this one! I gotta say, it's definitely a fave.

Tacky, I really love your poems. You're a good poet! I'm striving to be a good poet, but I'm not half as good as you. I like a lot of your earlier poems. I especially like the short story on suicide with the little boy and the teenager. It was heart pounding. Anyone who can make my heart pound with a story is a very good writer in my opinion.

I was planning on uploading some more pictures yesterday, but I realized I left my sketches at school.
So they will have to wait until tomorrow.

Anyways. Not that you guys really care, but I PROMISE I'll upload moar pictures today. But for now, here's some poems from some poetry contests that I may or may not have already posted. :P

The cool wind whispers
Chilled songs in my ears
And the ocean's dark waves
Flood their way to the piers.

Along the winding coast lie
Pearly flecks in the sea.
Floating atop
The waves breaking free.

Rising and falling
With the silver moon's strain,
Kissing the shore;
The tides' only restraint.

The sky dims to purple,
Chasing gold from the air,
And the sun dips below
The skyline laid bare.

I view this treasure alone,
Pondering the meaning of it,
Then I realize that the meaning
Doesn't matter one bit.

My breath is forced and ragged.
I can't see the end.
O suspense, I lie in wait.

NEW VERSION:

I view all off this,
Ponder the meaning of it,

FINALLY. I was too lazy to find white paper and draw on it, so I just doodled in my math notebook. I will never be a professional cartoonist. I don't have the patience to actually make it look good.

Here is Reaper. I created her in eighth grade, and she looked very different than she does now. Notice you can see the drawings on the back of the page. Oh well.

This is Reaper being all action-y and slashing things. She's my favorite character to draw for action poses.
