http://venturebeat.com/2011/04/05/is-another-black-ops-map-pack-coming-may-3/ If you didn't know The second DLC pack for Black Ops has been leaked(Link above) And I thought about posting this in another Black Ops thread, but I thought this would be more fun. =P
I'm with you, DoctorFunk. This is why I hate Downloadable Content, because game companies know they can strain the money out of us with a couple extra maps to play on the playground with.
im glad its 15 dollars cauz the CoD people could have simply brought it up to 20 or 25 bucks and made even more money but i mean come on there is not much u can really buy in the gameing world for 15 dollars so when u two find a better deal tell me

$15 games instead of $15 for a few extra maps? Let's see here, I have a list....
But since you insist: Back in my day, when you bought the game with your money, you had everything in that cartridge. There was none of this junk called "expansion packs" and "download content", or this "ay to play". You would buy the game, knowing full well 100% of what the developers wanted was in the cartridge. And then you would drive home in your Plymouth, down 5 miles when you passed the candy store, up 12 inches of snow, listening to Metallica (when it was good), and you would come home and pop in the cartridge in the Ye Olde Supra Nintendo and play it. Everything was in that cartridge; there were no "extra stuff" the developers would hold back, because the Internet wasn't developed up to this point. Really, the $15 you bought, or planned to buy with, is going to:
1) 200 lines of code and a few sub-classes of a parent class called "Map" 2) Textures and meshes that are already in the graphics system of the game, just rearranged differently to form a different map 3) Expenses the developers already have plenty of money to cover
Sorry, old man rant. It just bugs me when the developers hold back on maps and then give it out for extra compensation. I mean, the game was already released so early. The least they could do, on top of making a different game, was provide all their ideas at once.
