You just gained an infinite amount of respect from me. I loved School Days. Too bad not many have seen it, although I don't think dubs of it exist. And I don't think the VN of it is translated, but I have to double check that.
I had to dig through 16 pages to find this post of mine but...
There are plenty of Anime genres outside of shonen (aimed at young boys) that deal with more adult issues. Not all anime and manga are for children you know - some are dramatic, some are slice of life and some are detailed historic re-enactments. You can't just disown all anime as being 'stupid' or crap.
Things like Pokemon and Yu-Gi-Oh are aimed at children, even more so in the English dubs of them, so it's no surprise that they might not appeal to you.
Also, I am going to remind people that lists, while filling out the 7 words, is not really contributing. Write an explanation for your choice, please.
Sorry i forgot that. While here is my list again but with the explanation
1. Kiss x sis, i think it's funny and also has a good story. Ofcourse the ecchi parts are funny too, the head character gets embarrassed all the time haha 2. School days, i didn't expect what was going to happen in the least bit. It was very dramatic and it kept getting worse. In the end i sat there with my mouth open thinking omgg! It was shocking, but it had a good story, i've been watching some other ends as well. 3. DearS, i thought it had a good story and it was funny that the person that hated dears the most got 1 of them in his house haha. Also even though it was fantasy, which i often don't like, it was really good 4. Shuffle, very sad and romantic at the same time. I hadn't expected that this would happen and you felt really sorry for all the girls that liked him and that he didn't like. 5. Kimikiss, it just was a beautiful romance story!
What i think a good anime should have is a good story with some romance.
I just watched School Days and that was... Dark... to say the least of it.
School days was a really sad anime, it is one of the fewer anime that has such a good story and a bad ending. It really surprised me, but it also made me sad to see the dead look in the eyes of kotonoha
Probably impossible for me to make a top list out of everything Ive seen, but I know Clannad would probably be in it. Also I enjoyed Chobits and Bakemonogatari. I have to say Bakemonogatari blew my eyes out of the back of my head. Mind=Blown.
Most of the things I usually end up watching are either ecchi or supernatural or dark in some way. And I have this loli thing...(Kodomo no Jikan). I found Moon Phase tethered to my likings and am enjoying it right now, and I am actually glad it isn't some over the top thing like almost everything else I watch. Nekommimi mode! For what I am waiting for now are Deadman Wonderland and last Madoka episode.
Just watched 7 episodes of Highschool of the Dead and... the gratuitous breast and panty shots are really getting in the way of my zombie anime.
Ever heard of Seikon no Quaser? It uses breast milk as a plot device.
fewer anime that has such a good story and a bad ending
I find it really interesting that you said that. I actually thought the complete opposite, that the story became terrible but the end was such a shock that it made it good. I also feel that more anime have a good story and bad ending rather than the reverse. It might just be the difference in what we've seen though.

In my opinion there can never be too much fanservice.
In my opinion there can never be too much fanservice.
I know that fanservice is generally a good thing but I think that there are times when a show can be fanservice-overdosed and some of the fanservice wasn't even possible, seriously, breasts do not work that way!
I just read the TVtropes page on Seikon No Qwaser aaand that is one strange manga/anime.
I think Highschool of the dead is one of the best anime I have watched. I know there is much fan service, but beside that. It just amazing. There is many epic moments. as eks. In the first episode, at the end.
