Since AG is within 2,000 users of a million, I decided to create this thread to celebrate 1 million users on AG. Do not confuse this thread with "What should happen when we hit 1,000,000 users?" as that is a what to do thread while this one is a celebration.

also a good idea for AG slogan: Armor Games, over 9000 since 2007

What's with the number 9000? Seems a bit random or am I missing something?
Also, just because an account has no AP doesn't mean it's inactive, it could log in daily or weekly to play games but just isn't bothered enough to rate the game or comment about the game.

I agree with mdv. It's a shame that there's 1 million users and only 500 thousand are active (when I say active I mean who participate in the forums with the others who only play games). It's doesn't mean much having 1 million users when most user are inactive and makes the 1 million users event not that important.

People who haven't touched AP range in the 700,000s.

People who actually have been active for a while range in the 30,000s.

Yeah, no.

"Armor Games, gonna kick Kong's ***"

No. It should be... "Armor Games, kicking Kong's *** since 2008."

Armor Games was made in 2007, and was barely popular in 2008.

Armor Games was created in 2005, but it was different. When referring to AG as created in 2007, it is just AG2.

No,
Games of Gondor was created in 2004, then AG got created in 2007.

You are wrong about AG being created in 2007. This link takes you to the history of the site.

Ughh. I was at AG in beginning.

AGv1 is 2005-2007.
AGv2 is 2008-present.

AGv2beta was in 2007, but only briefly.

let's stop arguing over the versions of armorgames, we've hit a million users! you know, I'm kind of excited, haven't been part of the community long, but it has been great fun to be here!

You still missed Games of Gondor. AG3 is actually the fourth version of armor games. Games of Gondor still counts.

I'm pretty sure Games of Gondor is AGv1 because if AGv3 was the fourth version, it wouldn't make much sense to me since it's name is calling it the third version.

*facepalm*

Games of Gondor was taken down in 2005 because J.R.R. Tolkien's estate sent a cease and desist notice to Daniel McNeely concerning the site's unauthorized of the "Gondor" name.

In response, Dan changed GoG to AG. The name and design was changed completely, but the site remained fairly similar. It slowly developed over the years, and came to the point where it was just before AG2. And the rest is history..

There's a simple reason why GoG isn't AG. It wasn't named AG. That's why the original AG (2005-2007) is AGv1, this AG (2008-2011?) is AGv2 and the upcoming Armor Games site is AGv3.
