I created this thread for anyone that is interested in discussing mathematics. I don't think that this thread is a [dup] and if it is, it was not intended to be one. The first thing I will say is that I know the value of: e to 12 digits: 2.718281828459 pi to 25 digits: 3.1415926535897932384626433 I hope that this thread will be a successful one.
log^-1 is the inverse of log... which would be 10^100 log base a of b=c when a^c=b our problem just had log written.. aka a common log which means it's base 10
Circular logic. I want to know why it has no pattern. Why are the numbers after pi what they are.
Basically it boils down to 'that is the nature of the relationship between the circumference and diameter of a circle'. Pi is merely a byproduct of relating these two things, and any attempts at understanding pi must first be based in the understanding of a perfect circle.
As far as the pattern part, it's not so much that pi has no pattern, but that it does not repeat in any way which can allow it to be accurately simplified.
