Personally I do not celebrate easter but that mainly because of where it originated. I encourage you to find the truth and give me feedback on what you think

Considering that there were other, pagan deities before your particular sky fairy and the jeebmeister arrived on scene - I'd say that Christianity took what was already there are riddled it with Christian imagery.


I cannot stress more that it is the exact opposite. God created Earth. Satan entered and created paganism. Paganism is prominent everywhere.

Well, 314d1, I could make a religion in five minutes. Even if the Christian religion(s) were false, and a bunch of goat herders thought it up two thousand years ago, they didn't do it overnight. It has evolved into perhaps the single most influential entity in the world. That is why there are millions of christians and not a million pagans. And by pagans, I mean human sacrifices and drinking blood. Oh wait...

I still don't see how giving and receiving Easter baskets, as well as attending an Easter dinner, constitutes paying tribute to ANY supernatural being, let alone a supernatural being that is "more evil" than another. Easter, Christmas, and other holidays are no longer just plain religious, unless deemed by the religious--they are also federal holidays set in stone as vacation days so we can all relax and have fun as a family.

When I am giving an Easter basket to a five year old niece or giving pieces of meat to my clan's newest, I am not &quotaying homage to Satan" or whatever the devil you guys believe.

Our actions are caused by what Modus Operandi we gave reason to. The meaning of our actions are not caused by YOU, but by US. If we participate in a federal holiday, not intending to undergo a ritual, regardless of whatever history it predates, it does not give any religious person the right to declare that we are doing something anything different.
