(Nearly) everything is possible but that doesn't mean that it is probable. The evolution theory is based on scientific facts and disagrees with your idea as far as I know because genom mutations and natural selection isn't something that you can control. So I don't think that we were created by other humans. But maybe the first cells came from an alien planet or meteor.
If we were created by another species, far off in gods-know-where, then they would have to be extremely knowledgeable in Genetics, for if we accepted the notion that we were, then they were able to genetically modify our common ancestor, while still retaining our common ancestors' characteristics, such as the vestigial organs that even earlier ancestors once used, and the primal characteristics that help our survivial. I wouldn't trust that book as far as you could throw it though. It takes a very, very open minded person to read and give it merits.
You would have to take this book, compare it with what we actually know about our origins, and see which parts are actually meritable or just flat out false.
Cells emerged at least 4.0â"4.3 billion years ago. (from Wikipedia). So I don't think that could find this meteor. Talking about planets: We're already scanning the universe for planets that could have life on it. The Milky Way has about 500 million potentially habitable planets. But we haven't found alien life forms (yet).
No, it's really not. It isn't 100% impossible, but it defies everything we know about our origins. If indeed we were created by another species then that species merely created the first living organisms and we've evolved from there. If you are interested in our evolutionary timeline the wiki article actually explains it quite well, and cites some other interesting sites as well. Also, UC Berkely has a fantastic site on evolution if you're interested in it.
But how can we find them if they are so technologically advanced.
We don't really need to, tbh. We typically consider the simplest solution which satisfies all the conditions to be the most likely to be accurate. If natural events could have produced the first life forms, or a super advanced alien civilization could have, or if an omnipotent invisible being could have, then we look at which is most likely, and which satisfies the conditions.
We ask ourselves, is there any evidence that an advanced civilization visited our planet? Nope, there isn't. Doesn't mean it didn't happen, but we can't show that it did.
Is there any evidence that an invisible and eternal entity is on our planet, or has been on it at any time? Nope, no evidence for that either. Again, doesn't mean it didn't, just means we can't show that it did.
Now, is there any evidence that natural chemical and atmospheric process happen on our planet? Absolutely there is. And we have evidence that these are still going on today.
So here we see 3 possible hypothesis, and only one is supported by evidence. We do not have to completely disprove the other two hypothesis in order to say that the third is most likely. We just say that the third is the only one that is supported by evidence and satisfies all the qualifications.
Now, if we find evidence of a differing hypothesis that also satisfies all the questions at hand then we will have to revisit our theory. However until then we do not waste any effort claiming things which we cannot prove.
Talking about planets: We're already scanning the universe for planets that could have life on it.
On this line of thought it's been suggested Mars could have been this planet, given it was much more earthlike and could have allowed simple life to form before it died. Given Earth was quite capable of having life form right here I find it likely it did.
I think if they were as advanced as us then they would have left over stuff. I think it was on discovery channel that styroform cups might never decomposse.
Tying to responding the question: yes, it's possible, why shouldn't it?
But this bring to another question: if we have been created by some other life form...who/what created those lifeforms in the first place? -chemical reactions happened by chance -created by other life forms (endless recursion) -god/however you want to call it -other In a few word... that life form would have the same problems about the creation that we currently have. Big loop.
Could it be? No, it couldn't. No intelligent creature with such a knowledge would have given us such bodies. Seriously. If they are humans too, they would have attempted at correcting the mistakes.
