From what I know, Jamie is an atheist, since he attended the Amazing Meeting. Adam is also an atheist. At least according to Adam's and Jamie's wikepidia article, so I doubt they where serious.
Just take a glass of water, toss a mouse in, put a little lid on top, come back in a half an hour, if it's not a tiny dolphin then it didn't adapt and Darwin's a fraud! ^^
If they were being serious they were probably referring to one aspect of the theory, perhaps a specific evolutionary lineage or the origin of an adaptation or mutation.

Ya know that the Colbert Report is a show on Comedy Central and It shouldn't be taken so seriously. And they could bust it OR prove it but doing that might take about a billion years.
Haha I love the Colbert Report. Don't worry kiddos it was all a joke no need to get your panties in a bunch. He's good at tounge-tieing his guests. It's hilarious, but I'm sure both Jaime and Adam are atheists.
I couldn't watch the episode because it became i whole mess. But aren't Jamie and Adam atheists? So I doubt they where serious. And that the show is a comedy show, it leads me to think that it was just...comedy.
This should seriously go to the tavern... I mean it's a comedy show with probably the most ridiculous intro I ever saw. And the question has already been answered anyway, that's a joke.
