I didn't say anything was weird about the usernames. I said I wonder how they came up with them.

Moegreche, Gantic, Estel, dank, Flipski and Zophia


Estel and Zophia sound like spinoffs of their actual names.

I sometimes think "Gant" about Gantic, and Strop is "Stroppy McHorseguy", "Strops", "Stroppy", "Pony-boy" and any other funny name that comes up while we are working.

As for Gantic being a name in Norway... Never heard of it, really. Seems like a company name, though.

Zophia

She liked (likes?) the letter z, and her middle name is Sophia.
We do however pronounce it differently that most English speaking users will.

I don't think GoM meant they were inherently weird or anything - just that they were really quite unusual.


When I think of unusual, I generally think of weird, but I don't find those names unusual or weird.

Moegreche and Estel are my favorites. I also like Gantic, but Cenere just reminds me of cereal.

I understand how you can get Zophia with Sophia, but I can't think of a name with Estel.

Oh, when I read her username I think that her real name is Sophia then that name was unavailable so she put a Z.

Got to know her by that name. Considering she dislikes her first name, it does not seem like much of a problem.

Yup, it says Male in his profile. But maybe he was meaning Star since estel is a derivation of Star.
