There are also many examples of when people's ideas have changed greatly.
You do realize this is the age of social networking, and it is harder than ever to change ideas because so many people are set o their own ideas, theere are not many people to manipulate into your government idea. This is an age of stubbornness.
Yes, it is. By saying that you're only supporting my point because it would make people just that easy to manipulate to help you. It sounds bad, but, hey, that's the world.
You failed to read the point about people being stubborn. With all these people choosing their side of the table, and with only a few million independents out there, it would be impossible as it would be shut down in a matter of weeks if it came to that point.
You may argue that the Tea Party was an example of manipulation, but it's basically a bunch of rednecks and people paid to align with them, not actual grass roots.
So... You're saying that people would reject the idea because they're stubborn, right? Well, stubborn people want one thing: what they want, screw all else. Well, if stubborn people want change then this would be it. It's in everyone's favor.
You may argue that the Tea Party was an example of manipulation,
Of course it was. To get what you want you must manipulate some people, if not all.
Nope. You said almost everyone was stubborn. If they were so stubborn that a government would fall apart under them we'd all be dead by now.
What I meant to say is that if you put common, every day american people in charge nothing would get done because everyone would have different views. But that is why we have a democracy so we can get represented and still get some things done.
Common men without talent are never elected. Democracy makes a ladder. The spot that says president is so far up that many have fallen off of the ladder before they even received a chance of putting their foot on the second step.
It's just ever since the 2000's recession Republicans really took over. They stayed popular because we stayed rich, and some thought it was because of them that we fixed a possible issue and stayed rich. Now they want to fix it again. -- Personally, this ruling is a load of bull. What we're doing is putting money in their pockets, far too much for them to actually think of investing it in anything.
I agree with Paarfam. In my opinion though, people are scared of anything that's not a democracy because school and history raises and teaches you that anything besides democracy is evil. Or some phony claim that it will "spread" and take over the world and threaten democracy so we should have all the right to go and kill them. Things like that. Anarchy would be a tough one we need some kind of stability. But I don't assume Anarchy automatically means **** pillage burn kill rawrrawrrawr like everyone says. People can still be civilized.... lol
What do you suggest besides democracy. Having a dictator is stupid and having no leader is even more stupid since the country would have riots and pillaging etc. And please tell me why not Practical Maniac.
