Well, maybe they knew that there was some important al quaeda chief, but they didn't know that he was osama. That's actually another proof of the fact that killing osama isn't any better than killing another of the various al quaeda chiefs, and all the celebrations and the joy in the USA are just caused by the over demonization made by the media.
I found the place he was hiding in myself, and considering it was in a rather large city... I guess theres tons of corruption and fear-mongering in pakistan?
You know I'm sorry but the second I heard that he was dead this song literally jumped into my head instantly: *Warning Strong Language* Did that happen to anyone else?
Er. He was shot by a gun. And he died. Ppl went to DC because they saw it was a meaningful military victory. Our involvement in the middle east is going to drop now, especially if they catch Zawahiri (2nd in command in Al Qaeda) then I think we'll GTFO. And yeah this war was a fail from beginning, to kill one man we used brute force instead of just super funding the CIA for .00000000000002% of the amount we've burned. GG on trying to kill an idea.
I think this a step forward for America in some ways. It verifies what we've all thought for so many years, that the Pakistani government was hiding bin Laden. I just feel bad for the children that had to see all of the bloodshed, but I'd rather deal with that than being sent into war when I'm only 5 years old
I don't think it was the entire government. The entire story would have to be more complex, otherwise we would have been pissed. I have a feeling there was a group of insiders that supported him in his settlement in the city, keeping it off the 'tracking grid' or whatever.
But the war was terrible, and I fear we've made more terrorists than we've lost. Just saying.
25 Navy SEALS
What bosses. I heard the CIA went at it, too.
But just to defend my cultural homeland -- CNN reporters stated that CIA operatives agreed that this would have been impossible without Pakistani help and intel, even though it was 2 hours away from the capital.
