I'd assume as long as they had his recently deceased body, you'd be able to obtain DNA from it.

I think they meant DNA to compare to. And they could have easily gotten DNA before since the US were allied with the mujahideen during the cold war.

Knight, I'm watching that video in the article you posted. I noticed he said that they rebuilt that compound and practiced this several times. Yet, headline news just said that the administration would have wanted him captured alive and not shot in the head.

Did they really have NO CLUE that he was there? Our intelligence is crap if that's the case.

I do think that the images should be released, despite being gruesome.


Israel released pictures of the family that was murdered by terrorist a few months ago. There is no need to release the images but there is no problem with doing so because they should be no more gruesome than the family.

It took them 10 years to find him with crazy advanced military equipment... So yeah.

The link that knight posted has a video in it. The newscaster said that the military had apparently built this compound and practiced several time before attempting the actual mission.

So, I guess I'm saying that with all this focus on one building, intelligence didn't have the slightly inkling of him being there? Not even a wild guess?

I mean we knew he was in Pakistan at this point. That has been known for several months now. I read older articles on him today that said that from back in January.

We can't have no clue he was there because launching a military attack on another country's compound isn't something you can do for fun, there are consequences. They had to have had extremely good evidence that he was there or else they wouldn't have attacked.

I've heard conflicting reports stating that it was a kill operation.

I think they meant DNA to compare to. And they could have easily gotten DNA before since the US were allied with the mujahideen during the cold war.


The DNA used to supposedly verify Osama's body was taken from his sister's preserved brain, or at least that was what ABC reported.

2. I dunno how you got the idea that I thought you hated all Chinese history. I just asked which period you were talking about.

3. I don't think they would lie about the DNA of Osama, honestly. They might lie about how they killed him, or whether or not it was intentional, but I don't think they would go THAT far.

About 45 minutes ago the administration just said they would have preferred a live capture. Straight out of the horse's mouth.

Why is it that surround Osama and 9/11 there are so many inconsistencies and 'huhwats'?
