Now i understand the reasons why Christians feel the need to go to church, for the sense of community ect ect ect

but from my experience christians seem to think its a sin or an obligation when you dont go to church, deists that belive in and worship god are often thought of as being lazy or not commited to faith

it says in the bible: where two or three are gathered together god is there

so surely a family worship would be a much more personal and practical for most people, so why dont more people do it?

And how the bloody heck is it boasting to have a structure dedicated to God?

It's not.

im not saying you shouldnt, i never said that i simply asked why it is a sin and why you think that it works better than other methods of worship

and i never said it was, i dont agree that its boasting, ask whoever said it

worshiping in a family setting seems most obvious adressing the needs of your own family, with apriest who wrks loosely to give you advice on spiritual matters, or gathering with others that feel the same way about christianity you do less regularly rather than simply conforming to whatever group of christianity seems easiest for you

Yes but, a church is like an extended family. At least the small ones that I've gone to. I realize at church that there are other people there who will help me out and that I will help them out. Also the church is a good way to organize community events to help other people out.

Does it make a difference? My church is about a block away from my house. It's pretty easy for me.

Wouldn't be easier to simply volunteer at a soap kitchen? Donate to the red cross rather then going in on a sunday?

The church helps to organize these events.

Well i don't know about why but I had to go to a church with my school for an hour long service and it was SO boring that I'd have prefered to have the lessons and a full day.

First to clear up something first. Every time a religious thread comes up the first place people attack is the vatican. Whenever someone who is not catholic rebuts another vatican argument is brought up. This for the record shows that since I'm from the United States and the majority of the US religion is Protestant, my argumentation is always from a Protestant viewpoint. I in no way support the Vatican, the pope, or any cathedral out there, so please do not try to come up with another argument about the pope to me when it clearly doesn't apply.

For the record here is proof that the US has 2x more Protestant believers than Catholic ones.

From those queried, roughly 51.3% of Americans are Protestants, 25% are Catholics

That little rant out of the way, I go to Church because it is a social network where I can go and relax and be around people I love and take part in my religion. It is no way an obligation to me, I go because I want to go and when I miss a week I don't pray for God to forgive me, I simply go the next week. God said he wants us to congregate together and it's a place where I can go with my family, have a good time and learn more about him and hear an uplifting message.

'do you think christians need a desiganted building for worship'

"The designated building is an unnecessary component of worship for any religion. If a religion requires a specific spend of time, effort and currency in order to have a place where their beliefs and rituals can be left be with their believers then the basis of the religion is not faith, but money."

Something like that?

Took me all but a single minute. XD

I'd like to ask where I have specifically targeted any form of Christians.

Even so, the majority of my arguments are often directed to Christians or every religion, using one as an example, often. Religious text from the Bible is as reliable as the Qu'ran. Neither have proof, usually not even evidence, and the probability of one of them being correct, if any, is small nonetheless imo.
