Thank you to all soldiers serving in Afghanistan! I hope that you will be able to come home soon as soon as we can figure out that the Middle East will always be a cesspool of hatred and violence.

And that, will probably take a lot of time.
Ah America! The land of god. Where people can make doomsday predictions without being ridiculed. Where judges can pass weird and stupid rules with the people's agreement. Where people do not need to feel shame in wasting and polluting the earth. Where eating at McDonald's is a national sport. Where political parties like the tea party can happen.
On the other hand, like all countries, there are the evil things. Like NASA or NAS. Does dam godless scientists bringing sins upon this holy land.
About that last picture Ernie, the google results one...there's some pretty strange results there. "America is a muslim nation" <--Where'd that come from.
...way to be racist, Paarfam. Unless you were joking, in which case it is still slightky racist. :P I know Polish people. They are nice people.
I don't have much pride in America. Sure, we've accomplished some great things, but that doesn't make us superior in any way. :P And while I'm against war, I have immense respect for the soldiers fighting for our country. Stay safe, soldiers. *salutes*

Some of the things you mentioned are purely a shame, such as judges making absurd rulings. However, everything else you mentioned are merely results of having freedom, and it's better to take freedom with a pinch of salt than to abolish it so that the few problems that come from it cease to exist. The freedom to become a part of the tea party also allows us to protest wars, march for gay rights, march for more or less government spending, and so on. Personally, I have no problem with the Tea Party because the media turned them into something they aren't by any means what-so-ever, but that's my opinion, which I'm allowed to have and to share.
If we allowed the government to prevent people from doing things such as making doomsday predictions, then we allow the government to determine what is and is not true, which means they can take truths and censor them. In fact, politicians determine what is and is not true all the time to create laws, and many times the politicians are wrong.
For example, some politicians are against McDonald's play places. They say that these play places attract kids to their restaurant so that they can eat unhealthy. Some politicians want these play places banned. What they fail to understand is that these play places actually keep children active, and that the children will be better off eating a cheeseburger and playing in the built in playground than they would eating at a sit down restaurant. In fact, sit down restaurants aren't really any healthier than fast food restaurants except they tend to be less greasy (depending where you eat and what you eat).
