Apparently the effort of cleaning up the forums has been biased, so the CoD group get their own thread for discussing as well.
Enjoy.

Having a great game > Having more money

It took ten years for Starcraft II to come out - and it wasn't even different enough to take 10 years! The reason it is so good is because of the longevity, Brood War (the expansion to SCI) is still being played on a professional level now, and as I type this I am listening to a former BW player talking about Larvae Management.

Even in a year, I think you can bring in more than a Crossbow and a Ballistic Knife - with some new signs on your gun etc.

If it were balanced properly without technical issues it would be one of the best games ever. Balance through having better maps and having it take more damage to kill with all weapons - making snipers ineffective at close range too. Make it more team based, because that's how a shooter is played more often than not.

Bare in mind that CoD doesn't introduce much new stuff in it per game, and that's one of the reasons I don't think its worth its cost nor its praise.
With Black Ops they added quite a bit. They had a new progression system, new game types, additions to zombies, Wager Matches, the weapons system was revamped, new killstreak system, and Dead Ops arcade... Oh, and I almost forgot, ZORK!!

I fail to see why you guys have to keep responding to this one guy. All he does is critque COD, but why should you care? He's just one random teenager on his computer, and you don't have to defend your opinion. These fanboys would never happen, if people would just let it slide and not care about what others say. It's just their opinion, and just because yours constracts, doesn't mean you have to care about it.

This debate has lead to nothing, other then me laughing a little at this futility. And Highfire, if you don't like it, why ARE you on a thread for COD? It just makes you sound like a troll, and if you had shorter posts, you would be seen as one.

And, if you say, it's just your opinion, keep it to yourself. Don't like COD, don't play it. Don't go on a thread called "COD? Put it here." If anywhere, go on some neutral ground, or at least start a thread that gives you what it expects it to be. You basically hijacked this thread with your opinions, and turned it into a fanboy war.

If you want to do that, then start a thread called, "Why I hate COD."

There are complaints, but it will still be the best selling game of the year. Are you on Xbox? Because zombies match making doesn't suck, Xbox's does.

Think you guys know COD? Then try out this quiz and see how many answers you get right. Only a true COD devotee will get 100%

I tried the quiz, I was going pretty good, attachments, I put in extended mag. Nothing. Dual mag. Nothing. When the quiz ended, I found out I just had to add in a 's' at the end.
E.g Extended mag -> Extended mags
Dual Mag -> Dual Mags

And Highfire, if you don't like it, why ARE you on a thread for COD?

The thread is called "COD? Put it here." for a reason. if opposing arguments are made against the series, then us anti-CoD folk must go nowhere but here.

It just makes you sound like a troll, and if you had shorter posts, you would be seen as one.

What Highfire and I attempt is a grand scheme of injecting some intelligent argument and debate into this forum, nothing wrong with that. It will, overall, have a better effect on us all.

His arguments are valid, he doesn't say "I hate CoD", he says "I disagree with the Call of Duty community because of X, Y, and Z, and here's some x, y, and z arguments and facts to further cement my viewpoint on previous stated X, Y, and Z" Are you saying that trolls are simply folk with intelligent arguments that can eject them with fewer words?

And, if you say, it's just your opinion, keep it to yourself.

And here we have our fascist member trying to hold down the freedom of speech that Highfire is granted at birth.

Don't like COD, don't play it.

One can only argue about something he knows about. Why would we not like Call of Duty if it weren't for our unpleasant experiences with the game?

Don't go on a thread called "COD? Put it here."

If it's a Call of Duty based argument, it belongs here.

You basically hijacked this thread with your opinions, and turned it into a fanboy war.

I would hardly call it a fanboy war, more of a benevolent hero and his Satanic sidekick presenting calm and intelligent arguments about the fallacies of the forum's subject franchise, while dismantling the opposing arguments. It's all quite fun, in a way.

If you want to do that, then start a thread called, "Why I hate COD."

We don't hate it, we frown upon it. As the most popular video games, Call of Duty has a responsibility to show example of how sequels, gameplay, narrative, innovation, immersion, Games as Art, and the fluid intertwining of all previous themes of games should be handled in a manner that progresses the general quality of games as a whole.

It has not, excluding 2007's Call of Duty 4, and has even led to Homefront, a potentially innovative and high-quality title with an interesting concept, fall to the realm of "clone", causing a stand-still in the shooter market until Crysis 2 came in and saved the day with its innovative gameplay, excellent story, and least importantly but still notably, near-perfect graphics.

We stand for progress, for immersion, for innovation, for the future of Games.

anyone try the perk combo scavenger pro, warlord pro, and tactical mask pro... with a galil silenced and dual mags, semtex/tomahawks, concussion grenades, and any secondary you want... just saying those 3 perks compliment each other a little tooo much if you ask me.. Which is why i use that now. Scavenger pro picks up tactical grenades and primary grenades, and warlord lets u have 2 attachments and 2 primary grenades, and tactical mask lets you see on ur radar where the enemy is when u throw a tactical grenade and hit them, as well as reducing the effect of flashes and concussions to practically nothing...

Firstly, I find it funny how your analysis composes of each sentence as it's own argument, refusing to look at others. You obviously read the part about starting a seperate thread. It just didn't help your argument.

About that grand scheme of yours, what else is it besides getting everyone stirred up and raging against you? Oh, I wonder what that is?

You and Highfire didn't have a plan. You just saw that everyone else was arguing against him, and decided to join in. I tried to be neutral, but you guys are just trolls. A troll is still a troll no matter how smart.

The irony in your post, is that you commited the UNHOLY act of ad hominium in your post by calling me a fascist. Also, this is a private forum. No freedom of speech here. You can't post porn, you can't post Hitler propanganda, you can't say **** or ****, and you can't go into a thread that wasn't an argument and start one for the sake of getting others to rage. Don't use that as an excuse for everything you do.

I can nitpick too.

I would hardly call it a fanboy war, more of a benevolent hero and his Satanic sidekick presenting calm and intelligent arguments about the fallacies of the forum's subject franchise, while dismantling the opposing arguments. It's all quite fun, in a way.

And this is where, I would like to stop reading, as it shows that you really sound more like a complete ******. Saying your a hero, is blantently bias and again add to hypocrisy of your arguments. You hate bias and adhominium, yet you yourself use them.

Oh, and please, don't call me out on calling you a ****** with a "yo momma joke". Though I'd have to agree with you the opposing sides irony is quite funny.

We don't hate it, we frown upon it. Nitpicking at my words. You focus on the fact that I said hate, not my argument that you should simply start another thread on it.

Anyway, I don't feel like wasting anymore of your precious time by reading this. I just won't argue, you won't get your fix of rage, and you'll move on. Bye!

I love the Galil silenced with Ghost, Fast reload, and marathon. I can patrol maps like Grid and Jungle extremely well. I don't use grenades that much though.

Darnit.

Chillz, I went to Copy "Are you saying that trolls are simply folk with intelligent arguments that can eject them with fewer words?" and I forgot to paste all that I've written in a reply to Aax5... :<
You made my point, exactly, however

And here we have our fascist member trying to hold down the freedom of speech that Highfire is granted at birth.

Ironically it is HIS opinion that I keep mine to myself - hypocricy much?

I would hardly call it a fanboy war, more of a benevolent hero and his Satanic sidekick presenting calm and intelligent arguments about the fallacies of the forum's subject franchise, while dismantling the opposing arguments. It's all quite fun, in a way.

Exaggerated which makes it all the funnier

Also, "while dismantling the opposing arguments. It's all quite fun, in a way" YES. Why are people so infuriated with others with a different opinion? Granted, I feel the same, but only if someone is so aggressive / stubborn or insulting with it. :P

We stand for progress, for immersion, for innovation, for the future of Games.

That.

One final note - Aax5, if you want a debate about the style I present - take it to my profile. If you want to talk about my actual points instead of accusing me of being a fanboy, calling me a teenager in what I can only assume in an insulting manner (even though I'm 14) and hypocricy, then keep it here.

@Noncomformist... O.o That's actually a good combo, I think it would be best in small maps like Nuketown however, not a larger one where grenades etc couldn't be throw to a concentrated area.

Messed around on MW2 last night, playing Headquarters, and came up with this class:

Primary: MP5k
Attachment: Silencer
Secondary: AA12
Attachmept: Silencer

Primary Grenade: Frag
Secondary Grenade: Flashbangs

Perk 1: Marathon PRO
Perk 2: Lightweight
Perk 3: Ninja PRO

Went 56 and 6 on Favela, just running around the alleys and on the roof tops in a big circle. You move too fast to be tracked, and the silencer means you never show up.

About that grand scheme of yours, what else is it besides getting everyone stirred up and raging against you?

Is that what you're attempting to incite? Quite frankly those with intelligence and the fortitude to actually debate with us are the ones we want to be dealing with, not the ones who will take insult to us for having viable opinions.

You and Highfire didn't have a plan. You just saw that everyone else was arguing against him, and decided to join in.

... Because... He agreed maybe?

You obviously read the part about starting a seperate thread. It just didn't help your argument.

What is that supposed to mean? We stick with this thread because we're not meant to make others about CoD - end of story, am I right or are you trying to make something out of this?

I tried to be neutral

If you did, then you did it supremely poorly. You didn't take in the points that we have and you actually haven't seen the effects that our opinions have had - people may be getting stirred up surely but they're not raging at us throwing horrendous insults.
For the most part, anyway.

If you wanna take a stab at that then take a stab at religion for doing the same - it is essentially a FACT that it has done good and bad. Why don't you do what you've done thus far and be a catalyst?

Also, this is a private forum. No freedom of speech here.

That's the worst lie I've heard ever. Be quiet... seriously.

You can't post porn, you can't post Hitler propanganda, you can't say **** or ****,

Oh, so now you use the rules to your advantage? Fail. You must have intentionally misconstrued what he said in the hopes of gaining a point. This does NOT make it a private forum it just makes it a forum with some restrictions - we have broken neither of them.

and you can't go into a thread that wasn't an argument and start one for the sake of getting others to rage

Which we're not - again, you misunderstand the point.

I can nitpick too.

Your form of nitpicking is putting words into our mouths or trying to twist it in some other way. The one time he doesn't make his sentence as clear as day you try and bend it to your side of the argument - and you wonder why we write a lot?

Because THAT'S one of the reasons, little immature fools like you trying to make everything go against us is simply insulting, quit being so antagonizing in terms of insults or the fact that persisting that you're right when we have shown otherwise and leave - or do it on my profile, I've got all the time in the world to prove why you should shut up.

Saying your a hero, is blantently bias and again add to hypocrisy of your arguments

ChillzMaster is the satanic sidekick - he was saying I'm the benevolent hero.

That, and bias? How can we not be? The fact that no one has come up with a solid argument for our disliking of CoD could only really reinforce our belief that the game is bad. We haven't been disproven - and you've not been helping now have you?

Oh, and please, don't call me out on calling you a ****** with a "yo momma joke".

Because we haven't been using logic and reason. Although if you do suspect as much then I might as well comment on how poorly you must've been raised to be so aggressive.

The sad thing is? I may be right - it isn't without reason, granted, not a sufficient amount but still it has a spark of reason.

Oh, the irony.

Nitpicking at my words. You focus on the fact that I said hate, not my argument that you should simply start another thread on it.

You're nitpicking at what we said
If it's a Call of Duty based argument, it belongs here.

Fail?

Anyway, I don't feel like wasting anymore of your precious time by reading this. I just won't argue, you won't get your fix of rage, and you'll move on. Bye!

Again, such a poor argument.
I like how you've done better in stirring people up and making an attempt of having them rage than us - another count of hypocricy, 'eh?

Can someone ban or warn this guy?
Ban or warn me too if you think I'm wrong, but as I've said - I have a valid point, and until it's disproven this debate is going nowhere in Aax5's favor.
And if you want to be nitpicky fine - the lines below "Can someone ban or warn this guy?" are so I don't look like a complete idiot infront of the third party observers who I can only imagine are the ones who will get something out of this.
Realistically I think I've done nothing wrong whilst you're just a terrible person at debate.
And a terrible person as a whole - from what I can tell.
Just pointing it out there.

Went 56 and 6 on Favela, just running around the alleys and on the roof tops in a big circle. You move too fast to be tracked, and the silencer means you never show up.

Would you say that it's mostly just good for Favela? I don't think maps like Wasteland would be good though - Rundown could work with it.

It's pretty darn close range, so it needs to be a map that you can rely on close-quarter combat to do effectively with it in.

I never go 'full auto' with a weapon, I just fire a few shots. So I use my rounds more effecintly, can place them more accurately, and can milk a bit more range out of them. I've used this class on (or some variant) on most of the stock maps, and it works fairly well. On Wasteland, I just chill in the trenches and the cave/bunker, and on Afghan I just camp in one spot, kill a guy, then move to a completely different spot.

It does its best though of Favela, Rundown, Rust, Terminal, etc, where you have a bunch of CQB. Killstreaks of UAV, Predator Missile, and a Harrier, and 'Its Bo-Time'.
