My friends and I had a great idea. To make gays impervious to any threat by people in the US or anywhere where freedom of religion is held, why not make Gays into a religion?

***itism- The belief in a homosexual god that wants you to worship him and be free in your ***it ways.

You could do the same thing for womens rights, just have all women worship a god that is a woman and wants all women to be free and empowered.

Since it is our first amendment right to be able to worship any religion we (as in American citizens) want and that Congress can't make any law regarding it, we are home free.

Plus, Religion isn't taxed, so really, Gays should embrace the idea of ***itism wholeheartedly and really think about creating such a religion.

On a side note, I realize I spelled ***ot incorrectly. I did that so it wouldn't become a line of blinked out letters.

lol, smart idea. except for the fact that if something like that happens, the republican party will be on that like white on rice.

Except they can't do anything about it. The first amendment makes sure of that.

Plus you would need to come up with a different name for it and most would find it very offensive otherwise.

True, we do, but the idea is still sound. Just paste a new name on the front, get a couple of people converted and we are ready for action.

I don't think so. If I did it was on accident and not a fully formed thread. The only other place where this may have been posted was on Facebook, so....

I will look through the threads, but I doubt I will find anything.

You did, I don't remember where though, it was more of a, "Hey, why not do this?" nothing more said.

I don't either. I just went through the first 12 pages of the WEPR and couldn't find it.

Anyways, onwards.

What other religious movements could be started to directly contradict what is not allowed in today's America?

Does this mean that they can't be part of the religion they already take part in or do they just get a second religion.

I'm sure you'll offend many a religion by making a religion for the sole purpose of religious immunity, but i don't oppose anything you do that isn't against the law.

Pfft. Every religion offends one another for claiming to be right. Who gives a **** exactly what pisses them off. Gay people are already not liked by religion, nothing would change, except benefits from the government.

Not offended because they claim to be right, offended because they're mocking them.

Yes, but if they're already offended, offending them more changes nothing.

Eventually everyone has a boiling point where something is going to snap, so it could change something.

I was pretty much going to respond with the same thing indie said. I mean, we can go around being racist, so who cares if we're more racist? Offending people more by being more racist changes nothing right?
