I love the weather and have always been interested in it. To me, the creation of incredible storms and the patterns of heat, wind, fronts, and pressure systems in absolutely incredible, especially since many of these things still baffle humans!

I want to know: does anybody share my interest? Any other weather buffs out there? Or, some interesting story or fact about the weather?

Please, share it here!

@EmperorPalpatine

Ooh! That happens on rare occasions. There is enough heat in the air for sufficient evaporation to make rain to occur, but as soon as the clouds condense, they spill their moisture and disappear. It's really rare.

@Ghgt99

Nice! Is everyone/everything okay after that bad of a storm?

@bravehawk204

Yeah, here's nice too. For now.

Very hot and dry where I live. Luckily all the wild fires in my state are mostly contained now.

Do you not typically get rain during the summer?

I usually don't if so just some sprinkles not much. But it was pouring.

@CalvinKidd137

That's good! Those wildfires can be really destructive. Did you hear about the one that could reach a nuclear waste plant?

@vinster132

Oh, lucky! I love it when it pours. It immediately makes me happy for the rest of the day. :P

Rain in the summer is great, especially at nights because it gets everything cool and it's great weather to play round up in!

Same here.

And yesterday the 4th of July was the best day to be out. I take walks around my street and around my school. It was about 70 degrees and some wind. It was perfect.

The weather for my location is pretty sporadic and will often change contrary to its previous state; however when it begins to rain, I absolutely love it. Whether it is a soft drizzle or a heavy downpour, I think it's great.

I agree with all of the above! My Fourth of July weather was perfect, too. It was clear and probably about 78 F or so. The air was a bit stagnant, but I really couldn't ask for a better night.

Also, today, a severe storm fizzled before it got here! > I was (am) angry!!! :P

The weather has been pretty normal lately, just sunny. I'm hoping for a thunder storm soon.

xD

I get back from vacation, and we're under a heat advisory and have thunderstorms forecasted for the next five days!

I guess the Iowa weather was saying "Hi".

Same. Here there's plenty of clouds, but no rain.

It's California in July, but the sky is full of clouds and it's cold as hell.

What the hell is happening??

I live in California. The weather jumps and runs all over the lace. Cold to mild to hot to cold to mild...and so on. I'm fine with it though. It's nature.

I think I'm going to be receiving your heat here in Iowa soon. We could reach 100 F without factoring in heat index! Icky icky.
